The two didn't tell anyone else, they knew Trevor might lose his shit if he found out Dracula was probably alive somewhere.
"What should we do?" Selene asked her husband as they laid in bed, both unable to sleep.
"We need to confront them." Adrian muttered as he grabbed his wife's hand. "We need to let them know about our child too."
"What should we tell our friends?" Selene asked, turning to study her husband.
"That we wish to travel together since we haven't gotten the chance to do so before." He suggested and I smiled.
"Okay."
Selene and Adrian hadn't told anyone else about Selene's pregnancy, and they wished to surprise them after they returned.
"We'll leave the castle under your protection." Adrian told Trevor who nodded. Selene watched quietly, her hand touching the ring on her finger.
"You two, be safe." Sypha told her as she hugged her tightly. "We'll look after everyone while you're gone."
Selene wrapped her arms around Sypha tightly. "Thank you, Sypha. I will miss you badly."
Selene and Adrian stood in front of the magical mirror. "Show me Lisa Tepes."
They both stood quietly in shock as they watched Lisa Tepes cooking a meal while Dracula was sitting on the table, reading a book.
"Are you sure about this?" Selene asked her husband who nodded.
"They deserve to know that they're going to be grandparents, and that we know about them." Adrian replied and Selene nodded.
Selene's POV
I held my husband's hand as we teleported to the village where his parents were currently staying. We nervously made our way to their cabin and I watched as my husband knocked.
Dracula opened the door and he stood there, wide-eyed and frozen when he saw us.
"Who is it, darling?" Lisa called out, walking to see who had knocked on the door when her husband didn't respond.
"Adrian..." Lisa gasped. "Selene."
The four of us sat quietly around the dining table, an awkward silence upon us.
"You're alive." Adrian spoke up first. "You were alive and you never even visited me or at least let me know." He was frustrated. He missed his parents and when he found out they intentionally kept that from him, it hurt him.
"Adrian..." His mother responded, trying to appease her son.
"Did you think that I had the right to know?" Adrian responded as he gritted his teeth, his hands clenched into a fist.
I looked at my husband worriedly. I placed a gentle hand on his arm. "Adrian... We should listen to what they have to say." Adrian saw the worry in my eyes and decided to listen to me. He didn't want to stress me out, especially not right now.
Dracula and Lisa watched as their son relaxed under Selene's touch and how he listened to her. They smiled and saw that their son was indeed with the right person.
"How did you find out?" Dracula asked as he looked at his son.
"Selene decided to contact you and her parents." Adrian replied as he looked back at his father. "Imagine our surprise when she couldn't find your souls."
Dracula sighed and looked at me with a soft gaze. "Of course, you would find out." He muttered with a soft smile. I returned his smile.
"We honestly don't know what happened." Lisa said, making Adrian and I look at her. "We woke up in the middle of the field. We knew we died. We remembered what happened but we couldn't understand how we're alive."
Adrian looked at me and I nodded. I listened while he explained our theory. "When Trevor Belmont used his holy weapon to divide the Rebis and separate your souls, in theory you became a separate man and woman again. Selene and I went through a book in the Belmont Hold which also theorizes this phenomenon."
"I see." Dracula muttered as he looked at his wife. "You have your answer now."
Lisa smiled at him and nodded.
"Why didn't you let me know you were both alive again?" Adrian asked his parents again, pain clear in his voice.
Their eyes softened as they looked at their son. I moved my hand and held his hand in mine. I gave him a reassuring squeeze.
"We wanted you to have time to heal." Dracula offered honestly. "We knew that if we went back, it might cause more trouble for you."
"We wanted to give you some time and some space." Lisa with a soft smile.
Adrian took a deep breath. "I understand." He gave me a small smile.
"We looked for you because we wanted to tell you something." I told them and they smiled at me. "We decided to be husband and wife."
"Congratulations!" Lisa said happily as she took my hands. "I always knew that you two would end up together."
"We're happy for you." Dracula added. "I wanted to apologize for banishing you, Selene. And for separating you. I wasn't in the best mind."
"We've already forgiven you." I replied sincerely. "Adrian and I no longer bear any anger or resentment towards you. We reflected on what happened to you together. And we grew to understand why you reacted that way. We may not agree how you went about it but we empathize with you."
I saw him relax and he took his wife's hand in his.
"We have something else to tell you." My husband spoke up with a smile. "Selene is pregnant."
His parents' eyes widened and they both stood up to hug us excitedly.
"We're going to be grandparents, love!" Lisa said happily as she hugged me. I watched Dracula crying as he hugged his son. I hugged her back and felt myself tear up.
"We were hoping you would be there when I give birth. Both of you." I told them and they looked at each other with a small smile.
"Of course, Selene. We wouldn't miss it for the world." Lisa told me with a happy smile.
We spent dinner and we caught up with each other. Adrian telling his mother everything that happened to him and how we found each other again. I smiled contentedly as I listened to my husband.
