"It's time to move on." Jake said, taking out the envelope. "The next performance will be by. . . Eda Clawthorne!"
The crowd all cheered as Eda came up on stage and waved towards the crowd.
"If it's okay, I'd like to ask you something." Eda said.
"What is it, Eda?" Jake asked.
"My performance is going to be like a tribute." Eda said.
"A tribute?" Jake asked. "For what?"
"You'll see." Eda said, taking the mic from Jake as he went backstage.
Music then started to play and Eda began to sing.
Eda: "When family cannot be here
Havin' journeyed far and wide
We sing a song to honor them
To remember days gone by"Eda and Lilith: "So take your cup
and raise it high
Just as surely I'll do mine
And laugh we will at stories told
As we smile at days gone by
As we smile at days gone byFor family not here, my dears
Havin' journeyed far and wide
For loyalty and kindness both
We smile at days gone by""Aww, she got Lilith here too!" Makayla said with a smile. "That's so sweet."
"Now I see." Jake said. "It's a tribute to her family. I've heard stories, but. . . I never really got to meet them either."
"I wonder if she's also talking about us." King said. "And Luz too, of course."
"Whatever it's about, it's making me tear up." Melissa said, holding back tears.
Eda then looked back at Jake and King and gestured them to come up on stage.
"Wait, us?" Jake asked.
"Come on, kiddo." Eda said. "You both deserve to be up here with us."
Jake and King both smiled as they went up on stage as the song continued.
Eda: "Our paths will cross
again one day
In time to reunite
For family is always near
Even when the seas are wideEda and Lilith: "So take your cup
and raise it high
Just as surely I'll do mine
And make a toast for family
And the tales of days gone by"All: "For family not here, my dears
Havin' journeyed far and wide
For loyalty and kindness both
Take joy at days gone by
For loyalty and kindness both
We smile at days gone by"When the song was over, everyone clapped for the Clawthorne family's performance. Surely, they didn't expect Jake, King, or even Lilith to be a part of it, but it was still amazing nonetheless.
"That was so cute!" Melissa said from backstage as she used away a few years. "I think I'm crying of happiness back here."
"Family really is a beautiful thing." Makayla said, wiping away tears as well.
The Clawthornes then went backstage so the next performance can be prepared.
"That was so cool, Eda." Jake said. "I didn't think you'd have us go up there."
"Well, you're family, aren't you?" Eda said with a smile.
Jake let out a small gasp as he formed a smile on his face and gave Eda a hug.
"There there, kiddo." Eda said. "Don't get to emotional now. You still have much of the show left."
"Right." Jake said, wiping away a few tears that have formed.
"That was really nice of you, Eda." Lilith said. "Seems like you got used to raising kids."
"Well, I've had these two since they were babies." Eda said, pointing at King and Jake. "At least Luz was much older when we met."
"Are you saying we were trouble kids?" King asked.
"Well. . . I don't want to ruin the holiday spirit in you, so I'll save that answer for later." Eda smirked.
"I love you too, Eda." Jake said with a smile as he went back to the stage.
Everyone was still cheering when Jake got back to the stage. "Alright, everyone. Simmer down." He said. "We still have much to go through. And there's still a surprise contestant that I have yet to call out."
Jake then reached into the envelope and pulled out another name. "Oh, this is an interesting one." Jake said. "The next performance tonight. . . is Knuckles the Echidna."
