Chapter 4: Introductions

"AAHHHHHH"

One of the girls woke up startled. She searched her chest area where she had been stabbed but found no sign of any type of wound.

"Do you believe us now?"

Otonashi and Kanade were both standing at the entrance of the door way.

"What's wrong with you guys?! You could've killed me!"

"Like we said, you can't die, the only way to exit this world is by putting your soul at peace." Says Kanade.

"And why should I listen to somebody who stabbed me?"

"Well I didn't stab you, so can you trust me?" Otonashi says.

"You ordered her to, you idiot!"

"Well, she still would've done it, regardless. But that's not the point. The point is, you and your friend are dead! I know this may seem like a dream, but trust me, it's not. We have to put your soul at rest in order to make you move on."

"Speaking of her.. where is she? And where am I?"

"You're in the infirmary" Kanade says.
"And your friend is fine. She's in the lunch room getting something to eat. We've already explained the whole situation to her and she seems like she trusts us."

"Not much of a talker, is she? Do you know her personally? " Otonashi asks.

"Yeah. She's very shy, but when she's around me she's a pretty open and energetic person.. Can I talk to her? I want to hear her opinion on this before I decide who to trust."

Otonashi and Kanade both nod and head out of the infirmary towards the lunch room with the girl following behind.

"Sachi!"

"Shira!"

Both girls run at each other and embrace in a hug.

"I'm so glad you're okay. Are you hurt?" Shira asked.

"No, no, I'm fine. These 2 explained to me the whole situation. They then took me to the food court and kindly paid for my food."

"Are you sure they can be trusted? They stabbed us!"

"Well we kind of brought that on our selves. We did ask them to prove it, didn't we?"

"Don't you think they could've done it in a less painful way..?"

"That doesn't matter. What matters now is the fact that we're dead. And these people seem like they know what they're doing. Let's trust them!"

Shira looked back at Kanade and Otonashi who were having a meal together.

"...Fine.. but they better not pull something like that again!"

Sachi smiled and hugged Shira.

"Let's go, Shira."

Both Shira and Sachi approach Kanade and Otonashi.

"We've come to a decision." Says Shira.

"We'd like your help with moving on! Is it easy?" Asked Sachi.

"It'd be easier if we knew your guys names." Said Otonashi.

"Oh! How rude of us. My name is Sachi Yukoroma!"

Sachi had short, red hair, with deep blue eyes. She had an average body type.

"I'm Shira Tsukarami."

Shira had long, blond hair, green eyes, and a slim body.

"I'm Yuzuru Otonashi. This adorable little angel is Kanade Tachibana."

"It's nice to meet you both." Kanade said as she bowed down to them.

"Well, now that we have the introductions covered, can we please get back onto topic?"

"If you're both willing to tell us about your past, then yes. If you have a problem with that, then we can wait. We literally have an infinite amount of time." Said Otonashi.

"Why do we have to tell you about our past? That's kinda personal." Asked Shira.

"We have to know what you failed to accomplish in life that you really wanted before death." Explained Kanade.

"I-I don't really feel comfortable saying it yet.." said Shira.

"That's fine, take your time." said Otonashi.
"What about you Sachi? How'd you die?"

"I can't really say since I was involved with Shira.."

"That's understandable. Both of you, take as much time as you need. If you ever need anything, please don't hesitate to talk to us." Said Kanade.

Kanade gave them both a sweet and innocent smile.

"T-thanks.. I guess.." said Shira.

"Me and Kanade are going to the lake to hang out for a bit. You guys can come if you'd like."

"Thanks, but no thanks. Me and Sachi have to talk about a few things and get settled down."

"Do as you wish. All the dorm rooms are empty, so feel free to choose any one of your liking. Our dorm room is number 43." Said Kanade.

"W-wait a minute! I thought you said all of the dorm rooms were occupied! That's why I had to sleep with you!" Said Otonashi.

Kanade blushed.

"So.. you don't want to sleep with me..?"

Otonashi was bright red in embarrassment.

"I.. I do..." He admitted.

"Then please don't complain."

"S-sure.."

Otonashi and Kanade then walked off towards the river.

"Don't you think it would be best if we told them, Shira?" Asked Sachi.

"I don't completely trust them yet.. Let's just wait for a bit."

"Okay.. if you say so.. Shira."
