He overheard everything but didn't know if he should go in.

"Should I comfort her?" "What if she screams at me for trying to get involved in her business?"

His thoughts were interrupted when he heard her soft sobs. Without another thought, he grabbed and twisted the door knob, entering his room.

I suddenly heard the door open. I forgot...I genuinely forgot that I'm not at home!

I sat upright, quickly wiped my face and placed my hand back on the mouse, trying to refocus on my work. I could hear Eren approach, but I continued staring at the screen, paying him no mind.

"Y/N..."

I didn't respond. I kept scrolling through online documents, trying to make it look like I was reading...when I wasn't. I couldn't focus. The more I stared at the bright screen, the more I felt my eyes water again. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. After a few moments, I reopened my eyes, then turned the swivel chair to face Eren. I was startled to see how close he was.

"Did you need something?"

"What happened? I could hear your screams from downstairs." I could hear the concern in his voice.

"Don't worry about it. It's not important," I reassured.

He rested his hands and gripped the arm rests of the chair, getting closer to me.

"Are you sure?"

I nodded, then looked away and reached for my phone. "I need to charge my phone. Can I use the charger?" He stayed quiet and just stared at me. Those eyes...

In an attempt to leave the room, I moved his arm off the chair and stood up. Just as I was about to walk out of the room, he suddenly grabbed my arm, stopping me.

"Y/N, don't lie to me. I know you're not okay. I could hear everything."

I swallowed nervously. Still facing the other direction, I asked, "Everything?"

"Everything," he repeated.

I sighed deeply and repeated, "Don't worry about it. It's a problem I have to deal with." I then pulled my arm away and left the room, making my way downstairs.

When I got to the living room, I connected my phone to the charger, then took a deep breath. I glanced out his backyard and saw the abundance of snow still there...but it was starting to melt. I wonder...

Eren was about to go after Y/N, but heard a small notification sound come from his computer. He turned around and glanced at the screen. She was still signed in to her company email and left her work open.

As he skimmed over the screen, Eren spotted the company logo, recognizing it immediately. Based on the documents Y/N left open, he noticed many of them required her attention. A few of the emails also had her signature and job title, clear as day.

It finally clicked: he was housing one of the most powerful CEO's in the world! He was quite shocked when he found out, but at the same time, he sympathized.

I went to the kitchen and looked out the window. The streets were being cleared off with snow plows. Salt rocks were being poured, making the snow melt. I quickly went up to the door, cracking it open and looking at the snow on the porch. It seems difficult to pass by, but not impossible.

Looking around the entrance of the house, I found my boots on Eren's shoe rack. I quickly put them on, then swung the door open. The snow was piled up to my knees...and was about to fall inside the house. Panicked, I quickly shut the door, preventing the snow from getting inside the house. I wonder...does he have a shovel? I bet I could shovel my way through and get to my car.
