Turner Family Residence, South Park

The iMessage displayed her conversation with Rebecca Arthur from 10 PM yesterday, and Heidi Turner's eyes were glued to it. Her right hand's grip was very tight as if someone might steal her phone and run far away with it. But of course, that wouldn't happen because she was in her own room, in her own house. Her parents wouldn't even think of forcibly taking it from her. Yet the feeling of fear that something would be taken from her was indeed present, though it wasn't about her phone. At this moment, Heidi was feeling it. This was evident from the furrowed brow and the downward curve of her tightly closed lips.

Heidi, I'll return your history book tomorrow, Monday! Thanks ♡♡♡♡

Okay, I'll wait for you in the science lab during the second period

I have history after science

Okey dokey 👌👌👌

Her conversation with Red had started with the return of her borrowed history notebook. Through her message yesterday, Red had informed her that she would return it the day after tomorrow. Normal, right? So what was making Heidi so anxious?

Red

OMG OMG WHAT DID YOU SAY???

That peculiar message was the trigger for Heidi's current confusion and fear. It's no wonder the girl didn't wait long before directly asking her close friend since elementary school what she meant by that yesterday. Until this moment, Heidi regretted feeling curious about it. Actually, she didn't know whether to feel regretful or relieved, but regret occupied more of her heart. The relief she felt came from the thought that at least she could find out about it, but at the same time, she cursed the entire universe for being so cruel as to let that coincidence happen to her as if it hated her and wanted to make the poor girl cry all night. And that damn universe succeeded because Heidi did cry over that message last night. The swelling in her eyelids was still visible, no matter how many times she washed her face that morning. This had caused her parents to be all in a tizzy at 9 AM on Sunday.

Red

What do you mean?
