"Why are you following me?" Carter questioned, genuinely confused.
Ali turned to him and explained, "We're partners for the project."
Carter, with a mischievous grin, teased, "Great, now I know you just want my attention."
Rolling her eyes, Ali scoffed, "Pfft, as if I'll seek attention from you." Carter couldn't resist smiling at her.
Ali sighed, "Just meet me at 6 pm."
Carter, playfully, asked, "Where? My place or yours, Princess?"
Ali, standing up and grabbing her bag, replied, "The library."
Carter remarked, "Oh, where we first met. I've hated it already."
At 5:57 pm, Ali arrived at the library, set up her study materials, and waited for Carter. Hours passed, and by 7 pm, he still hadn't shown up. Exhausted, Aria put her head down to take a brief nap. By 11:54 pm, she was fast asleep, unaware that Carter had finally arrived.
Carter quietly approached and found himself admiring Ali's peaceful slumber. He noticed a strand of hair falling across her face and gently fixed it. Just as he finished, Ali slowly opened her eyes, catching Carter off guard as he slowly backed away.
