Cleo
A few hours later we found ourselves standing in front of the Enchanted forest and my.... it looked so beautiful. My eyes refused to move away from what stood in front of me. Amidst the mist and tall trees, the forest seemed divine. It seemed to be calling out to us, luring us in like the voice of a siren, which pulled travellers in only for them to meet their fateful end.
As we made our way through the forest, the day seemed to age quickly.
Will we be able to cross this forest before evening?
Alvin and Ryker seemed silent as we walked. So much so that we could hear each leaf rustle.
The rosy pink skies were turning dark as each minute passed by. The arrival of evening was well anticipated.
We needed to get out of the forest before evening or else, from the tales that I have heard, no one has ever come out of the Enchanted Forest if they happened to be crossing it after sunset. The stories about creatures hunting down people are quite famous. Who knows what lurks in the forest.... and those who value their lives don't approach it after dark.
"We need to walk faster." Ryker said and all of us quickened our footsteps.
Suddenly, I felt a certain pulse of energy, coming from somewhere near. It felt like it was calling out to me, urging me to find it. And without my knowledge, my feet simply turned towards it and started taking me there, as if they had a mind of their own.
I found myself near a huge tree, it could have easily been the largest tree in the forest and there seemed to be a certain hum of energy emanating from it, its leaves shining with a golden aura.
I couldn't help but stand there, enchanted by its beauty and then, I heard it speak.
A thundering voice boomed out, "Choose carefully, O Traveller. You are standing between the crossroads of your fate. Now, your choices would decide which path you will take, what your future would be."
"Listen carefully young girl, The Tree of Life doesn't warn just anyone." An unknown voice said. I turned around to look at an old dwarf standing there. He took one final glance at me and walked away.
A dwarf? But I thought that they only existed in stories...
Alvin
"We're almost there. Finally... I don't know if we would all be able to win the lottery but, if i get a ticket, I will be sure to hand it over to you Cleo..." I said but there was no response "Cleo..?" I asked again. Both Ryker and I looked around but couldn't find her.
Did the forest engulf her? Are all the rumors we heard about it true? Is she safe?
"Where could she have gone?" I asked Ryker.
"Don't worry, I will try to find her" he said.
"Should I come along?" I asked.
"No, stay here. I will bring her." he said.
I stood there, waiting. Many questions running through my mind.
In a few moments, Ryker and Cleo came out together.
'Where were you?" I asked her.
"I found her in a secluded corner" Ryker said.
"Let's continue with our journey. We don't have much time " I said.
Cleo looked dazed and confused. I was worried about her. I will ask her about this later.....

'Two warnings in one day?' Cleo thought to herself.
She followed Alvin and Ryker out of the forest, warned but confused about the actions she should take.
