The next day was a schoolday. Though tired and fatigued, they had no other choice but to go to school. As they entered the school, they were curious to know what the buzz was about. The whole school had been turned upside down as Augustus Gloop had vanished! He wasn't home and he wasn't at school. Where could he have gone?
In the course of a few more days, more children went missing. Cleo and her friends were together as of yet. The whole town had its doubts on the magician as he was the only newcomer there. This dominated the newspaper headlines with people giving their own version of the story.
Cleo couldn't take it anymore. She finally revealed to Alvin and Ryker about the happenings in the Enchanted Forest while going to get the tickets for the magic show. They both found it very arcane that Cleo had received such warnings just before the magic show. Confused and desperate for answers, they decided to visit the tree again that had caused such mystery.
