Will paced up and down the hall.
Sice he had been sent out of the hospital room, nobady had talked to him.
He was worried.
Worried and really scared.
Suddenly Dr. Parker came out of JJs hopital room.
"Mr. LaMontagne." She said and Will stepped towards her.
"What has happened inside there?" He wanted to know.
Dr. Parker sighed: "Your wife had a flashback."
"Again?"
"Yes." Dr. Parker answered. "It was triggered by the questions about the ... about the rape."
Will buried his face in his hands and asked: "When can I talk to her?"
Dr. Parker paused and Will looked up.
"There had been a few complications." She slowly explained.
Will was shocked: "What kind of complications?"
"When your wife woke up, she didn't recognized me and didn't know where she is. I explained it to her, but she still couldn't remember. She asked me why I call her Mrs. and it turned out, that she can't remember you..."
Before Dr. Parker could finish, Will shouted: "What? How is that even possible?"
Dr. Parker said: "I assume that the flashback and the amnesia were triggered by the memories of the torture your wife had to go through. It was kind of a short circuit in her brain. It couldn't handle these memories anymore, so it..."
Will finished her sentence: "... erased them."
Dr. Parker shook her head: "No, it didn't erase them, it just locked them away."
"I understand that, but why did she forget me? I mean I had nothing to do with the torture!"
"That's true." Dr. Parker answered. "But when she was kidnapped she was worried about you and your son. I suppose you two were the only things she thought about. Because of that her brain connects you two to the torture as well."
Will was confused: "Do you indicate that she can't remember Henry as well?"
Dr. Parker nodded: "Yes."
A few tears ran down Wills face.
"I have to ask you a question. Did your wife ever tell you about a case in Los Angeles where a serial killer used power breakdowns to kill?"
Will nodded slowly: "Yes, she told me about that one. It was really bad."
Dr. Parker continued: "This is really important, Mr. LaMontagne. When was that case?"
Will shrugged his shoulders: "I don't know, a few years ago."
"Please try to remember." Dr. Parker repeated.
Will thought about it a few minutes before he answered: "I think that was almost four years ago, but why is that important?"
Dr. Parker sighed: "Because that is the last thing she can remember."
