Why?

Chapter 4

"JJ, I'm so..."

JJ didn't let him finish: "Save it, Will."

Will walked towards his wife, but she made a few steps back.

"JJ, I didn't know what to do. You don't talk to me, you don't listen to me and you alwalys say that you're fine."

"Because I am!"

"No!" Will replied. "You are not and you know it. You've changed. I don't recognize you anymore."

JJ was confused: "What are you even talking about?"

Will sighed: "Since you have been back from Afghanistan, you hide something from me. And I still can't figure out, what that is."

"And that is none of your business, Will."

"It was when you have been kidnapped and I didn't know if it had something to do with the secrets you hid from me."

JJ shock her head: "It hadn't."

"But it could have."

For a moment both stayed in silence.

"That is not the issue here." JJ said.

"Then what is the issue, JJ? What?"

She didn't have to think about that: "You deceived me, Will. You went to Hotch and talked with him about me. You persuaded him to talk with me instead of talking to me by yourself."

"Would you have listend to me?"

"Now we'll never now."

Will was at the end of his tether, JJs nerves were at breaking point.

"Let me help you, JJ."

"I don't need your help, Will."

"Then please talk to me. Tell me what had happend in Afghanistan. Tell me why you have changed so much."

"You wouldn't understand." Was the only thing JJ answered.

Wills voice was only a whisper: "Let me try."

A few tears blazed their way down JJs face. Will made a few steps towards JJ and this time she didn't sidestepped. Will pulled JJ in a warm hug and they paused in this position. More and more tears flew down JJs face and bathed Wills shirt. But that didn't matter in this situation.

The only thing that mattered in this situation was, that they finally found together.

But there was still something between them. Like an unseen wall it stood between them and kept them apart. This thing was a secret.

It was JJs secret.
