New School New People

Chapter 4

Lily walked in and saw a tall girl putting a poster up. The girl had beautiful silky blond hair. Her hair framed her face and made her gorgeous large brown eyes pop. She had a small nose that was spotted with freckles.

"Who are you?" The girl snapped.

"Hello, you must be Skylar. I'm Lily Dalm. I'm your new roommate." Lily replied.

Skylar looked Lily like she was trying to figure her out.

"That's your half of the room. Please just try to stay out of my way. I'm here to learn, not to make friends." She said.

Lily looked at the girl and wondered what her problem was. She walked over to her side of the room and started unpacking her clothes. After her clothes were in the provided wardrobe, Lily started to make her bed. She wrestled with the stupid fitted sheet. After seven tries the thing stayed and Lily finished making her bed. Lily wished she could text Macey, but the school had a strict no cell phone policy.

Classes began the next morning so Lily decided to spend the afternoon walking around the campus.

The buildings stood tall and the grounds were blanketed with beautiful green grass. Lily walked to the greenhouse. It was large and full of beautiful exotic plants. The dome like building allowed just enough sunlight for the plants to thrive. She stared at the plants with awe. This was what she strived to do one day.

Lily decided to go and see how Macey was doing. She walked across the school to the Aphrodite Dorms. Lily still wasn't over the fact that the buildings were named after Greek gods and goddesses.

Lily walked through the hall of the building until she came to Macey's room. It was room 221b. 'How fitting.' Lily thought as she entered the room.

The first thing that Lily noticed when she walked into the room was the organization. During the day Macey had already unpacked her clothes, made her bed, and organized the room to fit her needs.

"Lily!!" Macey yelled and jumped up from the bed. "How are you? Do you like your dorm? What about your roommate? Is she nice?" the questions quickly poured out of her mouth.

"Macey!! Good, it's good, not so good, and no not really." Lily told Macey.

"I wonder why Greek mythology is such a big part of our education." Lily said.

"I don't know. It doesn't really make sense to me." Macey replied.

"Well, I'm going to head back to my dorm. It's a pretty long walk. Goodnight Macey. See you in the morning." Lily told Macey

Lily started the long walk across the school campus. She walked into room ten and flopped on the bed. The next day would defiantly be an interesting one. Lily walked to the dorm bathroom changed and brushed her teeth. She laid down and fell asleep thinking of the new school and the upcoming year.
