Three weeks ago if you told Lily she was a demigod, she would have called you crazy. If you told her that her best friend just happened to be a daughter of Aphrodite, she would have laughed in your face. If you told her that her archenemy, Skylar, was a descendent of Hermes she would have thought you needed to go to the mental hospital.
About a month ago Lily's dad can home from the supermarket and called her and her stepmother the den.
"I want to send Lily to boarding school." He blurted out.
"What!" Lily screamed out.
"I want you to go to boarding school. There is a really nice one called Farona that I want to send you to," he said in an attempt to calm his daughter.
"Paul, Honey we need to talk about this. We don't have the money. We have the house payment. We just moved in. we have to get cable installed, pay the moving company. We have the car payment and all the bills." Her stepmother pointed out.
"Margret, I think this is a great idea. And the school wants her there. I got a letter in the mail that said that she would get a full scholarship."
"Dad I can't leave Macey. I don't want to go to boarding school!" Lily exclaimed
"Lily, go to room. Your stepmother and I will work this out." Her father demanded.
Lily stormed off frustrated. She didn't want to leave her best friend. She moved her a week before school let out. The only person who was nice to her was Macey Burton. Lily thought of the day she met Macey.
Lily walked into classroom 221b looking like an idiot. Her long blonde hair was always frizzy, but was exceptionally frizzy today. She couldn't find her contacts that morning so her eyes were hidden behind large pink glasses she hadn't worn in over a year.
"Class this is Lily. She will be joining our class for the remainder of the year."
Lily found an empty seat beside a girl with chocolate colored hair. Her green eyes were bright with enthusiasm.
"I'm Macey. What do you think of the school, Lily?" She asked.
"I don't know yet. We just moved here. I wanted to miss the last week of school, but my parents wanted to see me graduate the fifth grade." Lily replied to her.
'She is so pretty' Lily couldn't help but think to herself.
"You're not the only one who doesn't want to be here. I would much rather be at the mall. I need to get some new outfits." Macey said while scrunching up her tiny nose, "Do you want to sit with me at lunch?" she continued.
"I'd love to. Thank you Macey."
Just then Lily snapped back to reality by her phone being blown up with text.
'LILY MY DAD IS SENDING ME TO BOARDING SCHOOL!!!!'
'LILY I DON'T WANT TO GO TO BOARDING SCHOOL'
'WE WERE SUPOST TO START THE SIXTH GRADE TOGETHER AND ROCK MIDDLE SCHOOL'
'MY DAD IS INSANE!!! HELP ME!!!!'
Lily picked up her phone to try to calm Macey down.
'Macey calm down. It will ok. Ur not alone. My dad wants to send me to boarding school 2'
She sent the text to try to calm her down. She was amazed at how fast Macey could text.
'Where at. Why now. Why both at the same time.' Macey demanded over the text message.
'Some school called Farona Academy. He said I got a full scholarship.' Lily replied over the phone.
'MY DAD SAID THE SAME THING! ARE YOU GOING?!?! IF YOU'RE GOING THEN IM GOING! ARE YOU GOING?????' Macey sent back.
'I don't know. It could be fun though. The 2 of us at school with no parents.' Lily replied
'Ok Lily. Let's go to boarding school."
