Chapter 5

"RIIIINNNNGGGG RIIINNNNNGGGG" Lily woke up from the old fashion alarm clock. 'Dang the thing is loud' Lily thought. Figuring out the alarm was ridiculous. She tried hitting the top like in the movies. Of course that idea failed. She picked up the clock and tried to shut the dang thing up.

"Can you turn that off? Some people are trying to sleep." Skylar snapped at Lily.

"Sorry." Lily said, "I don't know how to turn it off. I always used my phone for an alarm."

"Do I have to do everything for you? And honestly I'm amazed you're still alive." Skylar retorted

"What is that supposed to mean Skylar?" Lily cried out her voice steadily getting louder.

"It means I think you are like a child that can't do anything for themselves. I don't think you will do a good job living in your own," she grabbed the clock out of Lily's hand and hit a small switch on the back that was hidden to Lily till now. "And I do think it's going to be torture sharing a dorm with you all year."

Lily stormed out of the room. She hated having to share a dorm with Skylar. It was awful.Lily decided to go to Macey's dorm.

As Lily walked into the dorm to see Macey having the same struggles as she did.

"There's a switch on the back to turn it off." Lily told Macey

"Oh, thank you Lily. How long did it take you to figure that out?" Macey asked.

"Well it took Skylar a full two minutes before she got mad and turned it off for me." Lily replied. "Do you mind if I get ready here, and we can swing by my dorm to get my books on the way to Greek Mythology?"

"Not at all," Macey said, "Skylar sounds awful. It's too bad we can't switch dorms. I would much rather room with you instead of being by myself." she continued.

"Don't worry Macey, I'll be over here all the time. I want to spend as little time in my dorm with that witch as possible," Lily told her, "I'm going to get ready."

The two girls got ready, Lily borrowed one of Macey's uniforms, got Lily's backpack, and started to head to their first class.

Lily and Macey into Greek Mythology expecting to see a teacher, but instead saw a girl around 16 or 17. The girl had beautiful blonde hair and had gray eyes. she wore a solid orange shirt, and around her neck she had a leather band that had ten clay beads and a ring on it. Even though it was partly hidden under the long orange shirt, Lily saw part of a knife in a sheath sticking out.

"Every one find a seat," the girl said. "My name is Annabeth Chase," she continued, " I will teach you Greek Mythology. Just because I'm not an adult does not mean you will not be taught this properly. You will be expected to do homework, and to take and pass test in this class, but it will be slightly easier than a regular academic class because many of the students at this school are dyslexic, so if you are there is no need to worry." Annabeth said.

After Greek Mythology Lily and Macey parted ways as Lily started to walk she was growing more excited to see more of the wondrous greenhouse. Lily began to get lost in her own thoughts , but was snapped back to reality when she heard a rip and looked in horror as all of her things came toppling out of her bag. She looked around and saw a boy who looked her age running towards her with a bow slung over his bag.

"I am so so so sorry," the boy said as he swept his golden blonde hair out of his face, "You weren't hurt were you?" He asked. His hazel eyes showed that he was legitimately concerned, not just faking it

"No I wasn't, but I can't say the same for my bag," Lily told the stranger.

"Oh my gods I'm so sorry, here take mine," he said as he removed his books. He handed her the bag and then started to pick up her books.

"No, I couldn't take you bag; you need it to carry your books." Lily told the boy.

"Please take it it was my fault. I shot the arrow that ripped your bag," he said refusing to take no for an answer.

"Thank you," Lily said, "What's your name, and when can I meet you to give you your bag back?" Lily asked.

"I'm Albert, Albert Farley," He told her, "and I can wait outside the dinning hall before dinner."

"Okay; again thank you so much for letting me use your bag."Lily said.

Lily walked into the greenhouse. She was greeted by the sweet scent of the flowers and exotic plants that grew there. She walked to the small group of students that had gathered at the front left corner and saw their teacher for the first time.

Ms. Fico was a tall slim lady. Her ginger hair was pulled into a loose ponytail, and her blur eyes where complimented very nicely by the plaid shirt and blue jeans she was wearing. Lily noticed that her sneakers were very well worn in and caked with mud.

"Hello class," Ms. Fico said, "I hope you all are enjoying Farona so far. Welcome to flower arrangement. In this class you aregoing to learn the best way to arrange a bouquet to get the best balance of color, the sweetest scent, and the best overall result.

This class turned out to Lily's favorite class by far.

Lily and Macey went to all of their classes. At the end of the day someone came over the speakers and said that all students are required to join a club. After classes where over Lily and Macey were sitting in Macey's dorm doing homework.

"Who was Apollo's twin sister? It was Artemis, right," Macey asked.

"Yeah. What club are you going to join, Macey?" Lily asked.

"I was planning on Sword Fighting. It would be cool." Macey said.

"That is what I was thinking about joining. Oh," Lily said, "Do you have an extra back pack I can use?"

"Lily Dalm, do you not know me at all? Of course I do. is something wrong with yours?" Macey asked.

"It was kind of ripped by an archery arrow." Lily explained.

"Whos bag is that?" Macey asked eyeing the bag Lily was using.

"The kid who shot my bag let me use his. I told him I would give it back before dinner, which we should probably start heading down there." Lily said.

Lily and Macey walked down to the dinning hall and saw Albert leaning against the doorway.

"Here is your bag Albert. Would you like to eat with us?" Lily asked

This was the beginning of a great friendship. The trio fell into a routine of  going to class, doing homework at the library, and going to dinner. Lily was able to avoid a lot of time in her dorm and was able to avoid time with Skylar. On the weekends Albert had started to teach the girls how to shoot archery while they learned sword fighting. They were having a great time at Farona. That was until right before Christmas break.
