2:03 a.m.

Alyah's POV:

« Where is he ? » Alyah said panicking entering the hospital with tears flooding her face
« Lyah stop panicking, everything's gonna be fine» Kevin said trying to reassure her

Alyah was at home when she received a phone call from the hospital saying that Arion got injured from a shooting and that he was in surgery cause he had lost too much blood

She knew those days would've come sooner or later cause of how much time Arion warned her about them,  but still, she was not prepared for this

When she received the call her first instinct was to call Kevin. He directly came to pick her up and drive them to the hospital

"Mam is everything alright ?" The nurse in reception asked Alyah
"N- no, Arion Howard he's in s- surgery where is he ?"  Alyah said Stuttering

The nurse quickly checked her computer "Are you his family ?" The nurse asked "He's my brother" Alyah said whipping her tears "Room 34, 2nd floor" the nurse said

Kevin grabbed Alyah's hand and the two went to the elevators. When they arrived at the corridor Kevin was taken back by the number of police officers who were waiting in front of the room, he was about to leave but Alyah forced him to stay

"Bro I can't stay here with them I have shit on me"  Kevin whispered in Alyah's ear
"You don't have the choice" Alyah firmly said squeezing his hand

"Excuse me what are you doing here" Alyah said addressing the cops, she could feel Kevin's body tensing next to hers

The police officers turned to face them "We could ask you the same thing young lady" one of the cops said
"We're Arion's family, now what are you doing here ?" Alyah asked again
"Well Arion Howard is under arrest for the shooting that he took part in, even if he got injured" another cop replied to Alyah

She deeply sighed before sitting on the waiting chairs in front of Arion's room, Kevin sat next to her

There was nothing she could do, and even tho she extremely wanted she couldn't call Arion's mom cause she knew he wouldn't want her to see the cops waiting in front of his room

Alyah put her head on Kevin's shoulder and felt Kevin surrounding her with his arm. Even tho Kevin wasn't comfortable with the cops around him, he couldn't let Alyah go through this alone

So for the next 3 hours they waited like this, Alyah had fallen asleep and Kevin was about to, but when the door opened and the doctor came out of it he immediately opened his eyes and woke up Alyah by shaking her shoulder

"Arion Howard family ?" The doctor Asked

Alyah and Kevin both got up and walked to the doctor
"We were able to Remove the bullet from his abdomen and to stitch him up, even tho he lost a lot of blood, he should be good now he's stable"

"Oh my god, thank you god" Alyah cried in relief, kevin stayed silent but he was as grateful and relieved as Alyah. "Can we see him ?" Alyah asked "Yes of course he should be awake now"

"Not too quick" A police officer said "We have to arrest him first" he said. Two of the cops entered the room and got out 10 minutes later

When Alyah entered the room, the first thing she saw was Arion's wrist cuffed to his bed. It made her wanna cry again but she forced herself not to

When Arion saw them entering his room, he immediately smiled "How's yall doing ?" Arion said cheerfully
"Better than you, that's for sure" Kevin replied with a smile
Arion smiled even harder and raised his other arm that wasn't handcuffed to dappe him up
