━━━━━━━ A FIT OF RAGE !

Jessup Diggs had changed. Tulliana noticed this as she grew up, the sweet and sunshine of a boy who would play with her, pull on her braids, even take some of her things was gone. All that stood in front of her was a hollow shell of his true self, instead replaced with walls to protect himself from the inevitable doom humans bring.

Jessup Diggs was not loud, he was not burning hot, he was not fire. He was silent, observant, and cold. Calm like a river who could easily turn to a raging storm. Tulliana only saw that side of him once in her lifetime, and she prayed he would never have to go through it again.

Tulliana was impulsive, Jessup was careful. Tulliana was angry, Jessup was tired. Tulliana was scared, Jessup was in pain.

Tulliana wondered what life would have been like if they hadn't met each other that fateful day, if he didn't see her burn her home down. Would they have been enemies, would she have died? The girl ignored her thoughts as the family made their way to the hall of justice, Tulliana had her hands stained with black from putting out the fire. In her pocket, a hot piece of coal she could feel slowly burning through her thick jeans.

The coal was a precaution.

Jessup's hand tightened around her. She turned to him and embraced him tightly. Scared, if she left go, he would disappear. "Everything will be okay" He whispered. The two released each other as Jessup quickly kissed his sister on the head, he smiled before walking to the boys section, standing beside a kid no younger than 12. It must have been his first year.

Tulliana stood a few rows behind Lucy Gray. The girl next to her had blonde hair, and she fidgeted nervously. Tulliana looked away almost immediately, instead focusing on the heat in her pocket.

As Mayor Lipp took a spot on the stage, infront of the microphone, flanked by two peacekeepers on each side of the stage, on and off. The man cleared his through and spoke into the microphone.

"Welcome to the 10th Hunger Games, where one young man and woman will be chosen the representatives of district 12 in the games." The crowd stayed silent as the Mayor cleared his throat once again. Mayfair Lipp could not hide the smirk on her face as she looked at her father.

"District 12's male tribute is . . ."

Everyone held their breath.

"Jessup Diggs!"

Tulliana Aria Volscian stood frozen as she heard his name. She was startled, like the way her body jolted when it touched water. She looked up and faced her brother.
