Chapter 11
Guys, I’m so sorry I haven’t uploaded in forever! I feel so bad! I had to have a loner laptop because my usual one broke. Okay here’s the chapter you’ve been waiting for!

My breath caught in my throat.
Kill me? Oh Lord... Murphy, we are having a pep talk later.
Okay! Oh, and have I told you that I can shrink?
Wait, what? How random can a shark be?
Okay, way to be random Murph. But no, I didn’t know that. It would be easier so I can’t lose you. I can keep you in a fish bowl! Sweet! I thought.
Yeah, no! Not sweet! Do you have any idea how scary that is? When you look out of it, everything is distorted and creepy! I was thinking of... a bathtub or somehthing I heard him say.
Later. I forgot I still had a critical crisis going on here.
“Crystal? Crys, can you hear us?” I heard Blair say.
“Yeah, yeah. Okay, so this Gwendolyn is trying to kill me. Why?” I asked
“Well, you’re my daughter, and that’s kind of why really...” He said.
Something inside of me told me he wasn’t telling me everything, but I decided to give it a rest for today.
“Okay, Dad can we give it a rest for today?” I asked, totally changing the subject. I got up from the table, and signaled Sasha and Blair to come with me.
“Whoa, hold on sweetie, there is a psycho killer out there trying to kill you, and you’re wanting to give it a rest?” said my Mom.
“Well, I think that right now I tell you some things. I got that shark that was out there from Gladys. And I got a comb from her too.” I said, getting the comb out and pulling the Murphy Necklace out of my sweatshirt.
I set both items on the table. My Dad reached out and touched them both with both hands, and closed his eyes.
Then he opened them and looked at me with a sparkle in his eyes.
“So. You have a guardian too. I was waiting!” He said happily. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a bracelet made out of twine and an ivory pendant. When he laid the bracelet spread out in his hand, I could see what the pendant was. The pendant was carved in the shape of an orca.
“His name is Oscar! He’s been my best friend ever since I was a kid.” He laughed a little. Then he started chuckling, then that turned into a full-blown guffaw.
“Dad, what is so funny?” I asked
“Oh, nothing ... “ He said with another chuckle.
He has a connection. Murphy said.
Wow, how did you figure that out Murph? I thought.
I’m not Murphy I’m Oscar. The new voice in my head said.
Oh, no wonder your voice sounded deeper. I chuckled inwardly
Hey butt out! She’s mine! I heard the real Murphy say.
Um, Murph, It’s okay- I tried, but Oscar left the connection.
“-Wait, so you and Oscar have a connection too?” I asked my Dad.
“Yeah. So what about this comb?” He asked.
“Well, actually I don’t really know.” I said as I picked it up.
