Chapter 7

Plans

Jessica's P.O.V

I woke up and checked my phone. It was only 9:30 so I just kinda scrolled through twitter. I noticed Grayson had tweeted something because I had his notifications on.
His tweet read:
She swept me off my feet❤

Geee that girl was lucky. I pushed that to the back of my mind and waddled to the kitchen.

I saw Jake staring at his phone with some cereal. I was surprised he was up because it was just turning about 10:00ish.
"Hi Jess!" Jake said waving like a little kid.
I smiled, "Mornin'!"
I went to grab a glass of water and then I remembered Grayson and I's texts from last night.
"Hey Jake?"
He looked at me and I took it as a response.
"I was wondering what's going on today?"
"Uhhh why?" He said with a curious look on his face.
"'Cause Grayson asked if I wanted to hangout," I got quiter at the last few words. Jake just looked at me with wide eyes. "Ooooooooo someone likesss youuuu and you like him back!"
"Stopppp! I don't even know him that well!"
"Not yet!" He said with a huge grin on his face, "but you will because now I know what the plans are for today!"
I started to get kinda scared at the sound of that.
He took out his phone and looked something up, then smiled. "We are going to Six Flags! I checked to make sure the ferris wheel's open!" My mouth fell open.
"Oh my gosh Jake!" I laughed and my face got warm. I quickly ran to get ready.

I decided to wear some white shorts with a light coral, baggy t-shirt that was extra comfy. I paired it with my owl necklace and my hair was just put up into a pony tail with nothing done to it, like usual. For my makeup it was plain and simple, just mascara.

"Jake, what time are we going?" I asked sliding into the living room on my socks. "Now! Come on we are going to pick up the Dolans." I ran to slip on my converse and grabbed my purse. Logan was already in the car and Jake sat shotgun. I jumped into the backseat and we were off to get the Dolans.

Grayson and Ethan were waiting in front of their hotel when we pulled up. I saw Grayson and he looked good. He was wearing a white loose tank with light blue blotches all over. He paired it with dark blue khaki shorts and his red hightops. I looked at Ethan and he looked good too but not as fine as Grayson.

"Heyy!" Grayson said as he opened the car door.
"Hi guys," I said as I scooted over to the window.
"Uhhh... I'm not gonna be able to fit my butt in the middle of you too!" Ethan said.
"Well my butt is the same size as Ethan's sooo," Gray looked at me and Ethan looked at me too. I knew what they were getting at.
"Finnne!" I huffed as I got out of the car. I hated sitting in the middle, it was so uncomfortable. Grayson got in, then I made my way in and then Ethan.

When we arrived I practically pushed Ethan out of the car and stretched.
"Dang!" Ethan started, "someone doesn't like the middle seat!"
"No I really don't!" I shot back.

We paided and got our wristbands. We walked into a swarm of people at the park and headed to the first ride, which was Superman.

I was thrilled. I looove roller coasters.
"You like roller coasters?" I asked Grayson.
He nodded, "Of course!"
"Good!" I said with a joking tone.
He just looked down and smirked at me. He was so perfect. I know I've only known him for 2 days but he was just driving me insane!

After the hour wait we finally got on the ride. I sat in the seat between Ethan and Logan with Grayson and Jake behind us.
Since there was only four in the row of seats we didn't want anyone to be lonely so Grayson went with Jake.

I was all strapped in and the staff came and made sure I was secured, tight.

The ride started turning us up and I was now facing the ground where my feet once were. The machine rolled and we started going up this hill thingy. All you could see was the ground and poles holding you up that were sprinkled with gum. It was pretty gross.

"I'm gonna scream like a little 5 year old girl." Logan said looking at Ethan and I.
"Same!" Ethan screetched trying to imitate a girl.
"We are almost at tge top! Holy shoot! Oh my g-" I got cut off by a big drop. "Ahhhhhhhhhh! Oh my gosh!" I squealed. It was like I was flying. Flipping and whirling in the air.

Rollercoasters were always a 15 second escape from the world and it was amazing. That's why I loved them so much. I treasured them. They let you get your mind off things even though it was only a short amount of time.

We came to a stop and my hair was all in my face. I tried to push it away as I screamed laughing, "That was AWESOME!"
Ethan and Logan started cracking up.

•••5 hours later•••

It was starting to get late and Jake kept dropping hints for me to go on the ferris wheel. I just kept ignoring him and pretending like I didn't totally get the hint.

He ended up saying something about it, "We should all go on the ferris wheel!"
I gave him a look and he gave me back a reassuring nod. I rolled my eyes. Grayson was already looking at me.
"Well it's a two seater soooo who's going with who?" Ethan started.
Logan interrupted, "I'm hungry and I don't really want to go on so I'm going to get food. You guys go. " He was then off to the food stand.
"I wanna go with Ethers!" Jake said linking Ethan and his arms together and then looking at me with a smirk.
Grayson turned to me and nervously smiled, "looks like we're going together!"
"Haha yah," I nervously said giving him a small smile and looking down.

After the half hour wait which was pretty good for an amusement park I got on with Grayson.

It was pretty awkward at first. I just sat there and waited for everyone to fill the seats so that we could go swiftly.

"How's it going up there!" Jake yelled from underneath us. I looked down and laughed. Grayson was also laughing.

My phone went off and I went to see who it was. It was Jake. I looked up at him since we had moved and he was now above us. He was looking at me waiting for me to read the text.
It read,
"JESSICA AND GRAYSON SITTING IN A TREE. K-I-S-S-I-N-G"
I looked up at him and flicked him off. He started cracking up and it caught Grayson's attention.
"Ooo fiesty!" Jake replied.

Grayson's P.O.V

I was just sitting there trying to figure out how to make this any less awkward when I felt the car move and I heard Jake laughing histeracially. I looked at Jessica. When she looked back at me I said, "Now what is he laughing at!?"
"I might have done a gesture that he thought was funny..." She trailed off at the end and I couldn't help but laugh. She started laughing to and it wasn't awkward anymore, which was a relief.

We finally started going at a swift past and not stop go stop go. I looked at her and she looked so pretty. I couldn't get her out of my head. She caught me and blushed. I blushed too and looked away fast.

She looked at me and asked me, "What do you see when you look up at the sky?"
It was really random and I looked up, "Uhhh...stars?"
I was kinda confused on what she was trying to get at.
"Well ya but do you see anything else. I meant like...," she hesitated for a moment and then looked straight at me, "what do you think about when you look up."
"Uhm, I guess my life in the future and what I want it to be like or what is new to come." I was kinda surprised at what I said. It was an honest answer but it didn't sound like it.
She looked back at the sky.

I noticed that she had some scratches on her wrist. I just observed and didn't say a word to anyone. They were probably from her dog or something. She had a dog, right?

When the ride was done she hopped out and waited for me to nudge my butt out. We then waited for Ethan and Jake to go find Logan.

Jessica's P.O.V

Ethan and Grayson walked in front of us while Jake and I walked behind.
"So did anything happen!?" Jake asked in a overly excited tone. I giggled a little.
"No, I told you nothing would happen." I hit him jokingly. He rubbed his arm in pain as a joke and muffled, "Ouch!" With a huge grin.
"We actually only said a few words to eachother to be honest with ya." I said.
He looked at me, "It was worth a try. Maybe it was to early. I know he likes you." I just ignored the last part.
With that we went back to the car and drove home.
