Chapter 9

Lazer Tag

Jessica's P.O.V

After I got ready it was about 12:30ish. I went to go sit by Grayson on the couch.

"Hey," he said.
"Hellooo!"
Ethan then yelled, "Hi friend!"
"Hey to you too!" I then saluted him and he saluted me back. I laughed again.
Grayson had this "jealous" look on his face but it disappeared when I made eye contact with him.
"So what are we doing today?!" I said looking at Jake.
"Uhhhmmm..." He looked out the window and saw it was raining, "What about a little lazer tag?"
"Yassss lazer tag!"
"But I have to be back her at 4:00 because I have a meeting." He was kinda disappointed about that.
"That's fine by me!" I screamed.
Ethan yelled again, "Yaaaa I'm gonna cream all your butts!"
"Don't be to sure!" I laughed and then grabbed Grayson's hands and pulled him off the couch, "Let's go!"

Once we got to the lazer tag place we hopped out and walked in. We all payed for ourselves and sat down waiting for our turn.

We got called up and walked in. We had to wait in this glow in the dark room listening to directions before we went in. It was pretty cool because if you smiled your teeth would glow and if you had bright clothes on they glowed. We were all pretty amazed! It was funny stuff.

We all payed for 3 rounds so we had some time. We walked into the second room. Ethan and I grabbed a blue vest and Jake and Grayson grabbed red.

We all saw our names in the guns. I was Unaraptor. I got a little confused but they were fun. Jake got Farqwaud, Ethan was Jigglypuff, and Grayson had Tyrant. We were laughing the whole time.

The guy who worked there started talking again, "Everyone needs to always keep two hands on the gun otherwise you cannot shoot at others. Red goes in first. Go down to the far side."

Me and Ethan said bye to Grayson and Jake and waited for our que to go out. We then heard our guns fire up and heard a voice over the speaker, "3...2...1... GO!"

Ethan and I sprinted to Jake and shot him and then Grayson got me in the back. I was soon regenerated and I ran after him. I hit him in the shoulder and I felt pretty accomplished until this younger kid came and shot me in the back.

"Ahhh," I screamed and laughed. The kid burst into a giggle fit, "Die!" He then ran away and I laughed. My vest buzzed and I was back in action.

I ran to Grayson. "HAHA SUCKER!" I screamed as I hit him in the back.
He turned and regenerated. I ran away and up these glow in the dark stairs. He shot me again, "Look who got you now!"
I laughed. I waited for my vest to buzz again ready to shoot him right in the chest.
I finally buzzed and he hit me again! "Heyy that's not fair!"
"I think its totally fair," he pretended to flip his hair like a girl. I laughed. I kept on regenerating and he kept shooting me.
"Ugh!" I said cracking up. I decided make a run for it.

He followed and kept shooting me.
"Don't run Jessica! I'm gonna catch up!"
I just kept laughing and tripped. I fell face first and burst into more laughter. He ran to me and started laughing too.
"Damn, that was a workout!" He said exhausted putting his hands on his knees.
The buzzer went over the speaker, "Please head to the exit. Thank you for playing lazer tag with us. Please come again."

He held out his hand and helped me up. We walked out and played 2 more rounds. We got home at 3:30ish. Jake went to his meetings and Logan was at some all day.

Grayson, Ethan, and I sat on the couch checking social media with 'Teen Titans Go!' in the background. That was a good show to be honest. Don't judge me!

Ethan got up and walked to the bathroom.

I noticed Grayson was staring at me. I looked up at him.
"What?"
"Oh sorry," he blushed.
"Why?" I smirked.
He was blushing so hard, "Well I was kinda, sorta staring at you."
"No need to be sorry about it tho," I said giggling. He smiled and looked down again and back up at me. I shook my head playfully while smiling and went back to my phone.

Ethan came back in and felt the awkward tension. He stopped dead in his tracks. I looked up at him and then at Grayson and then back at him. Ethan just shook his head in confusion and sat down.

I gave Grayson a look and he chuckled. Ethan looked up again and we both looked back quickly back to our phones. He brushed it away and started to watch 'Teen Titans Go!'
