She sat outside while she scanned her materials. She was preparing herself well for the upcoming examination. She was so behind with everything that she was mentally drowning in all the work that laid in front of her.

She was located on the school field. She asked the headmaster permission to stay late after school to complete some of her artwork and she loved painting outdoors so she took the opportunity to paint outside. It was in her luck that there were a few after school activities occurring so once they left she would too.

Before she began her painting she, like said before, sat on the field with her material surrounding her body as she tried solving an equation that Garrett explained to her. She was so grateful to have him helping her with her studies. She does not know how she will repay him, but she will... somehow.

He was excellent in his studies. She assumed, seeing how he explained that one equation with ease. She was not as bright and brilliant as the other students in this prep school. She got in  here with luck. She sighed, finishing off the equation with a tilt of her head. Her locks falling off her shoulders while she stared at the page in confusion, "I hope this is correct.." She sighed out slightly giving in and gently placed it in her blue folder that was decorated in butterflies, ladybugs, flowers and hearts.

She slowly got up and approached her safe place. She let her body relax as she breathed in her surrounding air. A smile crept onto her plump lips experiencing a feeling of tranquility washing over her. This was where she felt safe, where she could be herself. No worries. No care in the world. She lifts her paint brush and resumed her painting. She had to paint. She just had too, not because she wanted too, but these paintings are going to be sold.. She wondered who might want her artwork.

Everyone praised her for her beautiful art. Her art that caught all the emotions that they felt as if it spoke to them, but each time when they saw her progress report, they would turn the other cheek... She hated when she tried her best at her studies but does not get rewarded for her efforts...

She struggled..

She truly did...

Nobody helped her... Not even her best friend... She felt like the outsider amongst all theses smart kids in that building. All they knew of her was that she was the kid that got the scholarship. Nothing more, nothing less...

Suddenly, her vision got blocked by hands. She yelped when she felt someone press their body against her back. Her heart started to race at the sudden contact..., "Guess who~" whispered the familiar hoarse voice in her ear. She attempted to shake her head to get rid of the hands that blocked her vision so that her valuable time that she needed to finish her projects will not be wasted.

"Come on...." she sighed out with a smile on her lips as she wanted to scream out Oliver's name, but she refrained from doing that deed to spare her from the embarrassment and humiliation the person behind her would face. She was about to speak when the person twirled her around causing them to be face to face. Her large innocent eyes scanned the male that bullied others for no reason, "Garrett.." she breathed out.

He stared deeply into her eyes that held so much purity and kindness behind each hue of her iris. He slowly let's go of the female with uncertainty and nervously chuckled, "we just finished practice... -" he stared at her paintings, "I never knew you painted..." he said softly taking in her beautiful artwork

She stared at him in shock. Did he not know she was the kid that received that scholarship?

She, however, never questioned it and continued her painting while he watched her with admiration. He could not believe that she was getting under his skin so quickly. He does not know what got him this captivated...

He kneeled down slowly to take a look her materials, "Have you completed the worksheet I handed you?" he questioned her while he looked for her homework.

 She hummed out.

"I am not so sure if it will be correct..." she sighed out now turning back to the male. She lowered her gaze, "I am not as smart as the kids here.." she pointed out while she kneeled down to get the worksheet and hand it to him. He stared at the worksheet with sad eyes which caused Hailey to sigh out her failure, "See... I am not smart.." she cried out, "I am more artsy." she sadly smiled.

Garrett lowered the paper and stared at female. He place his hand on top her head as he slowly trails down to the side of face until he cupped her cheek. She narrowed her eyes at his strange behavior that he displayed, "I need help too.." he leaned in with a smirk playing on his lips as he saw the female's face turned from disgust to surprise.

"Help.."

"I might be second-"

"You second in the grade??" she yelled out..

"yes-" he confirmed, "do you not see it on the sheet every quarter??"

He questioned her actions. She shyly averted her eyes from the angered male in front of her. She only looked at one name. None of the others cared to her. All she needed to look at was Oliver...
He saw the way she looked to the side with hearts forming in her eyes. He clenched his jaw and swallowed thickly in anger.

Why does she feel like this?

... about him???

"Nevermind," he huffed out in frustration, "I need your help and you need mine..." he announced and she nodded, "I am currently failing art.."

He confessed.

She smiled sympathetically, "I am failing academically." she confessed, "I will help you..." she placed her hand onto his large hand that has welcomed itself to relax against her cheek...

However, they did not know a figure watched them from afar with a twisted mind...
