Today was the day. A day that I had actually been dreading for the last five years.
Alice had wanted us to go to a One Direction concert since she first heard "What Makes You Beautiful", but I always gave her a reason not to go.
Ever since the worst night of my life happened where I totally destroyed my phone in frustration, combined with anger and sadness, I had ignored everything that had anything to do with One Direction. I felt so bad for not being able to call Harry and explain why we couldn't go out, so it was just easier to ignore everything.
When my total state of sorrow ended a few weeks later and I was able to face people again, I tried fixing my phone to get a hold of Harry's number, but without result. He had become too famous to just look up on the internet so I had no choice but to just leave it at that.
I hadn't told Alice about Harry in October when we first met, since I didn't want to be ashamed if he would have choosen not to call me. To be honest, I was very happy with that decision right now, since she would have totally hated me forever if I had a chance to date Harry and blew it by destroying my phone. Alice just thought that I wasn't interested in the boys, and I was fine leaving it at that.
This time though, I had no other way out. She had made sure that everything that I could have possibly planned for today had been cancelled or moved to another date. We were going to see the world's biggest boyband today at the O2 Arena, and that was final.
The day went by pretty slowly at the coffee-shop where I worked part time in central London while I figured out what I was going to do with my life. I had just gotten my college undergraduate degree in Economics and Management and I was having a hard time deciding what to do with it.
Just as I was about to get off my shift, Alice ran through the doors screaming:
"WE'RE SEEING THEM TODAY, WE'RE SEEING THEM TODAY!"
"Alice calm down right now!" I said while giving sorry looks to all the customers disturbed by Alice's shouting.
"I'm sorry, I'm just so excited!" She apologised while catching her breath. It was weird seeing someone so skinny so out of shape. Her long brown hair was tied up in a knot and her blue eyes scanned me from top to bottom.
"Why haven't you changed yet?! We have to go! Now, move!" She pushed me towards the staff changing room. I said goodbye to my boss and went in to change as Alice shouted after me:
"Thanks for that latte you're about to buy me!"

As soon as I was ready to go, Alice got even more excited. She started singing their songs all the way to our apartment that we shared. I loved not staying at home with my mum anymore, even though I felt sorry for her sometimes when I knew she was all alone.
We changed into what we would wear for the concert. I curled my hair and put on a pink dress with black heals, while Alice put on a blue dress that looked great with her eyes. We had plans on going out to party after the concert, and if we were lucky we would get into "The Box" where lot's of famous people hang out.
"Are you done soon?" I yelled over to Alice's room.
"Yeah, let's go!" She added a black purse to her outfit and we were off.
The tube ride didn't take long, so we arrived at the arena just when the support act McBusted started playing.
"I could use a pint." I stated while dreaming of something cold to drink in the summer heat.
"I don't think they serve it here darling, it's a concert for like, kids." Alice laughed and I joined her. At 21 we were'nt really what you could count as kids.
"Then why are we even here?" I sighed as we started making our way up to our seats.
"Could you at least have bought us decent seats?" I looked upwards as Alice pointed to where we would be sitting. It was seriously the worst seats ever.
"Stop complaining or I'll make you go to another one since you ruined this for me." Alice said and held up her middle finger at me.
"Alice, hey!" I heard a male voice from the standing section.
"Hey Riley! How are you?" We made or way down again and Alice gave him kisses on the cheek. I reached out my hand and introduced myself.
"I'm Alice's friend Elsa."
"Hi, good to meet you." Riley had an american accent and was tall and blonde, which was exactly Alice's type. I'm starting to get a picture of how she knows him.
"Wow, I haven't seen you in forever, what are you doing here?" Alice said with a flirty smile while touching his right arm. She always knew how to get what she wanted, and right now that was Riley.
"I'm actually working here tonight, my mom owns the company that help the crew with the light and sound, so I'm just walking around making sure we're all set. Are you here for the concert?" He said while moving a bit closer to Alice.
"Yes we are, we're just headed up to our seats." Alice pointed and I laughed.
"You're all the way up there? We can't have that. Come with me ladies." Riley took us both under his arms and started walking towards the stage. He told the guards that we were with him and they gave us both passes to carry around our necks.
"I have to go, but you'll se them way better from here. Have fun and I'll talk to you later!" Alice blew a kiss towards him as he ran away. I grabbed the pass I had around my neck and took a further look at it.
"Alice..." I said while my legs started shaking. "Take a look at this." I showed the pass to her.
"THEY'RE BACKSTAGE PASSES! HOLY SHIT ELSA!" Alice screamed so loud I think the guards questioned why they had let her in.
The only thing I could think of was fuck. my. life.
