I was on my way to meet up with Sir Nighteye, Izuku trailing happily behind me. I knew Nighteye when I was younger, of course given my current life I lived, but Izuku was always a fan of his and it helped that they both shared a common interest.

All Might.

"Izuku, Nighteye is a bit different and super strict. It's just important that you make him laugh!" Togata was also with us, he had been interning with Nighteye for a while now. He was one of the 'big three' at UA.

"He's right, Izuku, this old grumpy grouchy man is like a stick in the fucking mud!" I waved my arms around as we stood outside his office door, the two boys eyes growing wide at me as I continued my rant. "I have never made him even fucking chuckle, and he's like my uncle or something! Also, don't talk about my dad! God we'll never hear the end of it!"

I turned around, smiling at the man I knew was standing there during my rant before hugging him tightly. He hugged me back just as tight, letting everything I had said about him go. He stepped aside, letting us in.

"So this is the predecessor? He's not much." Nighteye said, going back to his desk. I couldn't hold in my snort, hiding my face in my hands as my shoulders shook from my laughing.

"You two out, I'll see to him myself. Go on now." Nighteye hurried Togata and I out of the room, closing the door quickly. I sighed, slumping against the wall and sliding down to sit on my butt.

"You thinking about the little girl?" Togata asked, joining me but across the hallway so we faced each other.

"Yes, she's been stuck in my head since the phone call. I can only imagine what the bastard is putting her through right now. I want him dead." I shook my head, groaning quietly as I thought of all the ways to kill Overhaul.

"I'm sure we'll save her, she'll be just fine. If anything, with you on the job it'll probably get done in less time than it would have without you." Togata was trying to cheer me up, and it worked a little bit. I smiled softly at him, thanking him before we heard crashing from Nighteye's office.

"He's testing him, god I hope he fucking passes." I was now stressed out for Izuku, I knew Nighteye was an ass and with his quirk he even made it hard for Togata to intern for him.

"He won't let him fail, Midoriya is All Mights' predecessor, he wouldn't let him fail. Hopefully." Togata chuckled at his statement, looking around the empty hallway.

Ten minutes had now passed and the door finally opened to reveal a sweating Izuku and Nighteye who seemed like he hadn't even moved. Izuku smiled at us, stretching his body a bit before thanking Nighteye profusely and walking out the door.

"I take it you passed?" I was hopeful, we would need Izuku for this raid.

"I think so? I am going to assume I did, he stamped the paper."

"Yay!" I cut him off with a bone crushing hug, squeezing all the air out of his body. "This is great news! You get to dabble in the real hero life a little bit, not that you haven't already with all the League stuff, but they're kind of lame now. This will be so fun!" I was excited, jumping around as I talked.

We continued our walk back to UA while talking about random things. I zoned out eventually, thinking too much while the two boys continued their conversation. I was too lost in thought not realizing that eventually Izuku was just dragging me back to UA as my eyes stayed glued to my moving feet.

I had finally snapped from my own mind, looking up and finding a pair of piercing blue eyes staring at me through the crowd. I shrugged Izuku off, breaking into a sprint when Dabi also turned to run. It was like a game of cat and mouse, weaving around people as I closed the distance. Dabi took a right turn, running down a maze of alleyways until we both came to a dead stop.
