Chapter 27

"Wait, wait, wait, let me get this right. So you all lied to me because you wanted Leah to tell me first?" I say, raising my eyebrows towards the 3 footballers, not believing them.
"Yes, we swear. I even threatened Leah!" Lucy practically shouts.
I pull Leah slightly away from me, holding her shoulders as i raise my eyebrows at her, waiting for her confirmation that she indeed was threatened.
All Leah does is look down towards the floor in disappointment. Nodding her head slightly before putting her head back into my neck, covering her guilty looking face.
*Sigh*
"Ok, i believe you all. I'm sorry i didn't hear you out in the first place. I guess someone made me realise i needed to listen and stop reacting." I say towards the 3 ladies, thinking about Alexia as i say it.
"Can you leave us to talk, please" i say towards them, gesturing towards Leah as i do so.
"Of course" they all say, standing up and leaving the room, giving me a sad smile as they leave.

I look down towards the older girl, not feeling any anger which surprised me, just disappointment.
"Leah, come on, we need to talk" i say, releasing the girl from my hold, placing her on her own bed.
I sit back down on my empty bed, facing towards the blonde, awaiting her explanation.
"Im sorry" she says, looking down towards her lap.
"Thats not enough, Leah." I say bluntly towards her, still waiting for her complete explanation.

"I got money for doing what i did. £20,000 to be exact. I needed the money. I didnt know you, it seemed easy i guess. I didnt know what they would do to you, i swear" Leah practically pleads with me.
"Do you even know what i went through?" I question her, knowing her answer already.
"No" she mumbles, looking directly into my eyes, obviously wishing to know.
I just shake my head slowly, not wishing to have this conversation right now.
"Why did you need the money" i say, wanting to actually know what was going on.
"I- my niece is sick. Really sick. We didnt have enough to pay for her treatment, they were just going to give up. Im sorry" she mumbles, a stray tear falls from her eye, slowly trickling down her face.
I stand up, walking towards the blonde, crouching in front of her. I raise my hand, wiping away the tear, feeling sympathy for the young player.
I wrap my arms around her as she clings onto me, sobbing on my shoulder.
"I- i dont u-understand" she mumbles into my neck, obviously not expecting my sincere response.
"I have a nephew Leah, id do anything for him, heck id probably kill you to save him" i say, laughing slightly as she also chuckles into my now wet neck.
"So- so you arent mad at me" Leah says, holding onto me tighter, almost now afraid to hear my response.
"No, but, you have a lott of making up to do" i say, now laughing.
"Noted" she says, pulling away and smiling at me.
"Now, lets sleep" i say in a questioning tone towards the blonde beauty who is sat on my lap
"Yep" she says, pushing me down on her bed and cuddling into my chest as she turns off the light.
"Night Y/n" she mumbles.
"Night Le" i mumble back, feeling her smile at her nickname.

However, i wasnt going to sleep, not yet. When i hear the soft snores coming from Leah, i pull out Leah's phone, turning it on and sending someone a message.
I finally put the phone down after receiving the response i wanted. I close my eyes and let sleep take over me.

"Come on Le, get up" i say, already spending the last 10 minutes attempting to get her off of me.
"No" she says, forcing me back onto the bed.
"Come on, we have plans" i now say towards her. Her head shoots up, looking at me with a raised eyebrow.
"We?" She says in a confused tone.
I just chuckle at her and nod my head.
"Now get the fuck off me" i say, laughing and pushing her off me.
Her body slides off the bed, hitting the floor with a thump.
"Ow" she says, looking at me with a fake angry look.
I just smirk at her as i stand up, running to the bathroom to be the first to shower.
I head footsteps behind me as i slam the door shut and lock it, just in time for leah to hit the door.
"Y/n you fucking bitch"

"Where are we going" Leah says for the 50th time, obviously slightly anxious at the lack of knowledge.
"Leah i swear, say that one more time and i will turn this car around right now." I say in a serious tone, glancing towards the blonde.
I see her huff and sit back in her seat, crossing her arms in defeat.

"The hospital?" She questions, looking towards the large building in front of us.
"Yes come on now" i say, motioning towards her to exit the vehicle, walking towards the door, looking for the person i am expecting to meet.
"Come on Le" i say, holding the door open to the hospital. She walks in with a confused looking face until she recognises one of them
"Mum?!" She practically shouts as she sees the sweet looking woman stood, expecting us.
She runs up to her, wrapping her arms tightly around the older woman, pleased to see her.
"Y/n, what are we doing here??" She questions again.
"Come on Le, lets go and see your niece"
