Giyuu finished his food and went to the practice field. He assumed no one was going to be there at this time of day, but he assumed wrong because as soon as he got there, he was met with the sight of Sanemi practicing his wind breathing. Giyuu debated waiting for him to finish, but the field was quite large, so he decided to just practice on the other side to avoid Sanemi.
Once on the other side of the field, he just started with some basic sword moves, which quickly turned to more complex ones. Sanemi had noticed Giyuu but decided to ignore him for now and continues to practice his technique.
Out of nowhere, mitsuri steps on the field and offers to help Giyuu with sword practice. (This basically means they're gonna fight each other) Giyuu just nods, and they get in position. Mitsuri is first to attack using her sword (whip??) And swinging it at Giyuu
Giyuu successfully avoids the attack and slashes at Mitsuri. They go back and forth dodging and attacking. Sanemi is just watching them. Sanemi was impressed with how Giyuu was able to dodge Mitsuri's attack despite her unique weapon. Finally, Giyuu was able to knock Mitsuri off balance, and she fell.
"Ouch!" She landed on her butt. However, she looked up at Giyuu. "That was better than last time!" Giyuu nods in acknowledgment and helps her up. Silently praying, Obanai won't harass him for hurting her.
Sanemi snaps out of his amazed state, slightly embarrassed he watched that entire fight and starts relentlessly attacking a training dummy as a way to get it out of his system. Mitsuri sits down to take a break, but Giyuu goes back to practicing the simple moves like before.
While attacking the dummy, Sanemi can't help but think that Giyuu was actually pretty good at fighting, despite hating the fact he thought that he knew it was true. He would never admit to his face, but Giyuu had managed to impress him. Well actually he changed his mind..
