-Evelyn's POV-
"I feel like I'm going to throw up," I whisper taking my suitcase out of my closet. Kyla gives me a sympathetic smile as she stands up to help me pack. I swear this month flew by and I have wasted all of my favorite season thinking about Chris.
She grabs a hoodie out of the closet and I sit down staring at it, "This was his wasn't it?" She asks. I nod my head and she continues putting it into my luggage anyway, "I know we are only going for the podcast but just in case you decide to see him," she says. That's all I've been thinking about. Should I see him? I feel like he will just be annoyed I'm wasting more of his time.
"I'm being so dramatic. I know. I just hate this feeling. I hate not being able to text him and the only time I've ever felt that about a man...was never," I groan grabbing two pairs of jeans out of my closet.
"Why don't you just call up one of your past hookups for a little rebound action?" She asks, "We all know you were never lonely on the weekend," she teases making me side eye her.
"Cause then it's real. Then the whole trip didn't happen and I don't want to just move past it. I'm being a little bitch and I know if I move on I'll compare everybody to him. Maybe I should text him when we are in London...to at least apologize," I think out loud. I hear movement from behind me and turn to put more clothes in my bag to see Kyla putting her arms down, "Were you just silently celebrating behind me?" I ask with a concerned look.
She purses her lips and puts her hands on her hips, "people do it all the time on TV and I wanted to try it out. This is the first time you've contemplated seeing him...out loud at least," she says making us both laugh.
"What time is the flight tomorrow?" I ask as I start packing up my makeup. She takes her phone out and sends me the flight information. I thank her as I sit at my desk looking at all the work that has to be done, "Do you think Chip would kill me if I brought my work computer with me?" I ask.
She gives me a deadpan look and shakes her head, "Absolutely not. The podcast is technically already working. It's not fair to them for you to have double the amount," she points out. When I finally agree to not bring it she leaves to pack the rest of her stuff. I finish packing in record time and hear Kyla talking quietly on the phone in the hallway a couple minutes later. I lean on my door frame as she hangs up with a questioning face, "Do you remember Daphne from my work party last year?" She asks. I think about it and have absolutely no idea who she's talking about,
I nod my head and she rolls her eyes, "the red head that is basically the real life Daphne from Scooby doo. She invited us out tonight to go clubbing. I said we would be there. Be ready in an hour," she says walking into her room.
"Do I not get a say in this?" I ask with no response. I walk back into my bedroom and look at the dresses I didn't pack. The odds of us going to London and not being dragged to a club by the guys are slim to none. I swear chips a Clubaholic I chose a red dress that was shoved to the back of my closet. I haven't worn this one in forever. It takes me almost an hour to get ready due to my indecisiveness. When I bend down to grab my shoes I figure out why I never wear this dress. As I slip my shoes on I feel my phone vibrate in my purse. I'm going to be pulling this dress down all night.
Chip: Are you gals excited for your London trip?
Kyla: Absolutely. We are having Chip withdrawals
Freezy: umm I'm here too, ya know?
Evelyn: we love you too Freezy...Chips just needy.
Chip: am not
Kyla: sure you're not
Freezy: whatever. We will put the podcast out in a couple of weeks after we record it. Is that alright with you guys? We want enough time to promo it and didn't want to ruin your surprise for Harold
Evelyn: sounds good to me
Kyla: I'm excited
Chip: see you tomorrow hehe
I miss them. Chip might be my favorite person on the planet. I just can't tell anybody else that. I walk into the living room after shoving my phone away and see Kyla, "don't you look pretty," she says making me smile.
"Is it a good idea to go clubbing the night before a flight?" I ask, "I feel like I'm in some teen show where they somehow party every night and don't die," I tell her.
"Absolutely and you're the most dramatic person I've ever met"
She takes her phone out and tells me to pose. We take a couple of photos while waiting for our taxi. I'm surprised when she brings us to the stairway to get shots of us alone. She looks amazing and I'm assuming some of these are going to Harry.
She tells me the cars outside. and I nod my head blindly following along. When we get to the club Daphne and a couple of other girls I've met once or twice are at a booth. I tell Kyla I'll get us drinks so she can talk with them.
After flagging down the bartender I look at the pictures on my camera roll while I wait. I pull up Instagram and post two of them. The first one of me and the second one of the two of us. It's nearly been ten minutes when I get back to the table with the drinks. I plop down next to Kyla and she thanks me. Everyone I walk into this club specifically I'm convinced I'm going to go blind and deaf. The lights are insanely bright and there are speakers every two feet. The girls hold their drinks up and scream.
Tonight I decided to let loose and not think about anything. One of the girls drags me into the dance floor and we both dance like lunatics. I find out her name is Jess halfway through the night. I wish I was better with names. Jess gives me a wide smile when a guy comes and interrupts our vibes. I give her a thumbs up and decide to take a break from dancing. The best place to go is back to the bar for a cocktail. When I sit down at the table I open Instagram and see I got hundreds of followers since I posted the photo. I guess Harry's fans found my account too through Kyla's. I go through some of the comments and most of them are relatively nice. A lot are asking who I am.
"Having fun?" Kyla asks sitting down next to me slightly out of breath, "I don't want to go to the airport tomorrow morning. It's so early why didn't we pick a later flight," she frowns leaning her head on my shoulder. I continue scrolling through the comments as she watches my phone, "This comment is funny," she laughs pointing at one near the top of the screen.
Side_slut: how did Harry pull her? Let's be real here. We see the way he interacts with women
"I mean they aren't wrong," I point out when I see Harry liked the photo. I turn my phone off and drink the rest of my cocktail before getting dragged back to the dance floor by Kyla.
The rest of the night goes by in a blur and I don't even remember much besides laying in bed before falling asleep. I check my phone and see it's 9 in the morning making my head pound. I swear I didn't drink that much. I opened up Instagram and checked on who liked my photo. My heart drops when I see Chrismd10 liked your photo.
I click on his page and scroll through his recent posts. His hair is curly at the top now..it suits him. It's hard to stop myself from thinking about what it would feel like to run my hands through it. I think I'm genuinely going insane, "We are leaving in an hour," Kyla yells through the apartment. How am I going to cope with being less than 4,000 miles away?
