-Evelyn's POV-

I reach up on the step ladder trying to tie off the last decoration when Chris yells at me, "Stop doing scary things," he scolds as I drop my head and step down. He takes my place and secures the string before turning back to me.

"How is being two inches off the ground scary?" I ask as I walk closer putting my hands on his chest. He leans in giving me a kiss before touching my stomach, "I'm barely showing," I laugh as he continues trying to feel the kick.

"I don't care. When this little dude or dudette kicks for the first time I want to be ready," He says as I lean my head on his shoulder, "You excited about tonight?" He asks.

I nod my head not wanting to lift it, "I just want to know whether to paint the walls pink or blue," I smile. I would ask him what gender he was hoping for but his head-to-toe pink outfit kind of gave it away. He rubs my back and I lift my head knowing I should go shower and get ready before everyone gets here.

My hormones are all over the place. Kyla and Harry just walked in as I struggle to put my necklace on and they look adorable, "How are you, mother-to-be?" Harry asks as he walks behind me to help me put the necklace on.

"I'm really good Harold. I see your vote is for a girl as well," I state as I look at his pink shirt.

"Obviously the kid is a boy," Kyla says walking over to give me a hug, "I mean come on look at her she's glowing".

"No that's Chris putting frosting on my forehead and saying 'Simba'," I tell her as they both laugh. He walks over giving me a kiss on the cheek as he puts said cupcakes in the living room. The apartment is covered in blue and pink. I'm surprised the store had any decorations left. Chris has been talking about painting the nursery all week. I'm lucky to have a partner who's so involved in all this.

Kyla sees all the cut-up fruit and cheeses and starts washing her hands, "You don't have to do that," I assure her as she shakes her head saying she wants to. If I knew being pregnant meant people would do things for me, I'd have gotten knocked up years ago.

"I'm so excited to be an Aunt. It's everything I've dreamed of," Kyla says as she smacks Chris's hand away as he reaches for the chopped strawberry. I sit down at the counter and listen to the three of them talking about the kid and how lucky they are going to be. I jump a little when Chris comes up behind me and kisses the back of my head. I lean back into his arms and rest my back on his chest as I hold onto his arms. I smile as Kyla takes a photo telling us it's for the baby's first scrapbook.

"I can't wait to do this shit when you two have a kid," I smile as the two of them give each other an awkward smile and turn back to what they were doing, "People should be here any minute. Do you want to get the music ready and I will finish setting the balloons up?" I ask. He nods his head and walks away to get the speakers in the other room. We got caught up earlier when he insisted that we had enough time to take a mid-afternoon nap. It maybe went an hour or two over what we wanted but now we are wide awake. A soon-to-be mother deserves a damn nap.

When the doorbell rings I smile and rush over swinging the door open, "Hey besties," I smile as Simon comes out from behind a giant teddy bear. Talia wraps her arms around me and giggles like a madman.

"I'm so excited to spoil this kid," she says as Simon side hugs me with his hands full. He brings it to the living room and holds it next to Chris,

"They are the same height," Harry jokes before Chris throws a pillow at him. Everyone laughs as Chris shakes his head turning the music on. One by one everyone shows up and surprisingly Chip is the last to arrive, but when Chris and I open the door we understand why.

"Holy"

"Shit," Chris finishes as we see him standing with four bags in his arms, a giant container of diapers, and something that's propped up against the wall. Chris grabs some of the bags from him as he reveals a giant sign.

"What the hell is this?" I laugh as he walks in showing everyone. It's a sign that says, "I love Uncle Chip". Everyone starts howling as he stands with a proud smile on his face. I walk over and hug him as I tell him we love it, "I was thinking everyone could sign it to show who was here or something," he says as he pulls a Sharpie out of his pocket. That's the cutest idea I've ever heard. Freezy is the first up to sign as he makes his signature bold.

I can tell everyone is getting impatient as the night goes on. I'm terrified to find out what we are having. When that box opens and the balloons fly out that's when it becomes real. Kyla gives me a look and I nod my head. She was kind enough to pick up the display yesterday just in case there was a mishap. When she slides it out in front of everyone I look up and see everyone with a camera. I hop back and forth on my two feet in excitement as Chris holds my hand.

"Ready?" he asks. I nod my head and everyone starts counting down from ten. I squeeze Chris's hand the closer we get to one and he pulls the string letting white balloons fly out. The two of us look at Kyla and Harry and they come over unzipping their jackets. My eyes widen when I see "BOY" and "GIRL" written on their shirts.

"YOU'RE HAVING TWINS," She screams making the entire apartment shake with excitement. Chris pulls me into his arms as I start crying overwhelmed with emotions. I smile into a kiss as his arms wrap around me, not wanting to let go. He mumbles he loves me against my lips before our friends tackle us. I look at Harry and Kyla and thank them as Kyla starts crying.

"I think the perfect names are Chip and Kyla," Chip says as he walks over with a subtle tear in his eyes.

"I couldn't agree more," I tell him as he rocks me back and forth.

"This shit is unreal," Ethan says as Faith congratulates us. I don't know how we fit this many people into this apartment but right now it feels amazing. Everyone is talking and it feels like the perfect family for these little guys. I knew my stomach was bigger than normal but I didn't think anything of it. I zone out while holding my stomach as everyone talks around me. I'm having two kids with the love of my life after moving from America to London. This isn't real. I barely thought I could raise one kid let alone two.

Chris puts his arm on my shoulder pulling me back, "You have that cute overthinking look on your face. We go this," he whispers as I look over at him.

"We do"
