PERCY SHOWED ME AROUND NEW ROME instead. Clearly he rather have to show Annabeth around because of his grumpy face he had.
"Dude lighten up," I shoved him with my shoulders. "She's not going to poof away like you."
Percy sigh but his shoulders were still down.
"I can't believe it," I crossed my arms stopping for a moment. "The Percy Jackson being clingy."
Percy then shoved me. "Shut up."
I stick my tongue out.
"By the way, you have yet to congratulate me," I raised my eyebrows.
He gave me a 'really' look. "Happy birthday."
"Thank you, I'm older so respect me."
"I actually forgot about your birthday until I saw you just now."
"How dare you forget your best friends birthday."
"We aren't that close."
I open my mouth shocked. "Well, fuck you too."
He laughed and put his arm around my shoulder. "How has it been?"
I shrug. "Depends on what you want to know."
He looked at me confused. "How bad?"
"Depends," my answers were short. "Not now. There's too many people around."
He looked around. "We can go somewhere else."
I shook my head. "I'm not going to risk it." I changed the subject. "That guy, what his name," I snapped my fingers forgetting. "The blond one."
"Octavian?"
"Yes," I nodded. "He looks like—"
"Luke," he looked ahead on him not looking at me.
"Yeah," I crossed my arms. "Kinda scary how everything washed over me."
Percy sigh. "I guess I would have felt the same, but I didn't remember."
I made a face. "You don't remember anything at all before Hera took you memory."
He rolled his eyes. "Whatever protecter."
"Don't whatever me aqua boy."
We both looked at each other with a smirk on our faces. Just a short amount of time and everything seemed back to place.
New Rome was truly beautiful despite how much I wanted to hate it.
"Reyna is your sister," Percy said grabbing my wrist pulling me closer so we can whisper.
"I know, Jason told me all about it."
"You both are so different."
I hummed. "Is that so?"
"She is very more hard core, very roman. And you are more carefree."
I faced him. "And let me guess, more greek."
He pushed me. "Not where I was going."
"Clearly 'cause you moved me out of the way."
Percy looked at me like he was going to murder me.
"She reminds me of someone though, I don't quite remember."
Percy smirked at me. "And I'm the one with the bad memory."
"You're going to be died in ten seconds if you don't tell me from where I know her."
He laughed yet again. "Remember when we went to Circe Island."
I nodded. "Where we happened to have turned into a guinea pig.
Percy nods. "Yes, Hylla is her sister, she is now a amazon. Met her not long ago."
"Reyna or Hylla?"
He looked at me. "Hylla."
I nod. "Yes, yes, I knew."
"Reyna and Hylla worked for Circe, they were her servants."
I made a face. "How the hell did one become an amazon and the other in camp Jupiter?"
"I didn't really ask that."
I stopped putting my hands on my hips. "You happen to not ask the important questions."
"When I told Reyna about you, she didn't believe me. She told me that Bellona only was Roman, she wasn't greek."
"Jason told me the same thing, but he believed me. Chiron kinda refused to say much about it. But he told me that Enyo isn't loved as much as she is in her roman form so she just stick to her roman form."
"Yet, here, she is so loved. She is the goddess of war and Athena has nothing. Nor Ares, nor Poseidon."
I frowned. "Weird, how different our cultures are but it all from the same gods."
"There also something I want to talk about. When I was on the quest Thanatos told me that your father never—"
A shrill sound pierced the air. Light flashed in the corner of my eyes.
I turned to see an explosion blast a new crater in the forum. A burning couch tumbled through the air. Demigods scattered in panic.
"What—"
"What's going on? Was this planned?" Percy faced me.
"No—"
The argo II launched a second volley. Its port ballista fired a massive spear wreathed in Greek fire, which said straight through the broken dome of the Senate House and exploded inside, lighting up the building like a jack-o'-lantern.
I heard the laughed closer to me. A chill ran though my spine. "This wasn't a part of the plan."
Down in the forum, chaos was spreading. Crowds were pushing and shoving. Fistfights were breaking out.
"Oh shit," Percy and I said at the same time and we ran.
