Shivali's POV

Akshavi opens the door to her room as I walk inside feeling my back hurt a lot from sitting in the same position since last two and a half hours. The mehndi artist cost a lot of money though it turned out great, it was a lot of headache.

"I am not going to go to that place very again. We will get your wedding mehndi done some place else" I said looking at Akshavi as she hung her stuff on back to their assigned place and she turned to pass me a small look as she sighed in frustration

"As if they are letting us back in there after the ruckus you caused today. One ore thing, I am definitely eloping" she said and I chuckled a little listening to her response. She has always been an escapist when it comes to gathering so we all have gathered that she is having a court marriage

"I wish we had more siblings or at least some useful cousins" she muttered throwing her shoes in a corner in the room. I took in her tired form as her disheveled hair and top came in my view. I sighed a little as these days has been more tiring for her than anyone else

I hear my phone ringing and frown a little as my eyes move towards my mobile kept just in front of me. I blink slightly as my eyes catch the caller id. I immediately snap my eyes towards Akshi and find a teasing smile on her face

"Akshavi, I will kill you once my mehndi dries off completely" I said showing her my eyes and she passed me a small nod in a little mocking way as she answered the call and placed the mobile near her ear

"Hello" she said in a sweet tone trying to imitate my voice and actually succeeding at it too. I flared my nostrils a little as she turned the phone on speaker mode. I should speak and let him know that it is not me but her

"Hello" his usually heavy voice travelled through my ear and I gulped down as a shiver travelled down my spine leaving a trail of goosebumps. How am I even going to survive when we will get closer to each other?

"What were you doing?" She asked twirling with her hair in a sweet tone and I saw her look at me with a giggly face and I scoffed a little almost rolling my eyes in her direction. If the mehndi wouldn't have been still wet I would have tackled her to the bed

"Nothing much. I was just thinking of talking with your sister, saali sahiba" he said with a hint of tease in his tone and I gaped my mouth open. I looked at Akshavi having the same shocked expression as me which soon changed into an amused one

"That's good Jiju. You can actually recognize Didi's voice. Even mummy and papa can't differentiate in between my voice and Didi's voice when I try  to reenact" she said and I heard a light shuffle from the other side of the call and I could sense his nervousness through the call

"Well, I am her soon to be husband and I think I should at least be able to recognize her voice"  he said in a very gentle tone and I blinked my eyes feeling all giddy. I saw Akshavi's eyes snap towards mine as she looked at me in shock

"Good work Jiju. I am very impressed with your lines. And I think I should let you get to talk to Didi" she said looking at me and winking a little as I shook my head. Oh, how am I gonna torment you the remaining four days now, I thought looking at Akshavi.

"Thankyou, saali sahiba" he said with a hint of smile in his tone. Akshavi has always had a charisma to engage with people in an effortless manner. I guess her charm is working on him too because he never really talked with me on calls or even tried to call

"Okay, I won't irritate you both anymore now. Have a good chat. Bye" she said and kept the phone in front of me with the speaker mode still on as she ran out of her own room providing us some privacy to talk
