Shivali's POV
I step outside my room and take a small spin as the music in my head intensifies. I shake my head a little moving it along the song, I bounce a little in my steps and continue towards the stairs.
I release a deep breath as the aroma from the food hits my nostrils, I am literally famished today. I jump a little and get on the first set of stirs and start taking steps towards the ground floor. I smile as the song in my head changes like its a radio
I bounce my steps as I almost reach the last some steps and the hook of the song reaches my ear. I hum along the song and take a small spin. My eyes widen almost immediately as my ankle twisted and gravity worked its magic pulling me towards the floor
A thud resonated around me before I felt the impact of my body hitting the floor, harshly, very harshly. A excruciating pain travelled through my arm and my breath hitched in my throat. I pushed my leg on the floor pulling it away from the stairs
I heard some hushed noises from around, or maybe they were not hushed. I moved my leg further and pain shot through my ankle and knee too this time. I blinked and looked at my hand which felt dead, I felt dead
"Shivali" Devesh ji's strained voice reached my ear and I blinked the tears, accumulating, threatening to breach the last layer away from my eyes. I lifted my head upwards and saw the silhouette of him blurry through my tear strained eyes.
"Oh god. How did she fell?" his strained voice again seemed to reach my ear and I took a deep breath, my lower lip trembling with pain. His warmth surrounded me after a second and I turned my head only to find him kneeling beside me
His eyes moved over my figure before he raised his hand slightly to slowly wipe the tears on my face with the back of his palm. His fingers rough against my soft skin, my body tensed for the smallest of the moments
"I will take her to the hospital, it looks she had fractured her wrist and her ankle" he said against my ear before I felt his hand on my lower back and the other placed below my knees. I gasped loudly as he lifted me in his arms with a swift motion
My hand clutched his shirt tightly, his warmth seeping in through my hands. I blinked my tears away as my eyes met his jaw, clenched jaw. He looked like he was holding back something, maybe I am heavy for him
"I can walk, it's my wrist that is paining a lot. I will manage to walk with a little support" I said, my voice trembling as the pain travelled through my whole body. His eyes snapped towards mine and I saw it then anger, he was angry, no, infuriated. At me?
"You ankle and knee doesn't look good either. If not a fracture, I am sure you have a sprain at the least" he said as he pulled my body upwards and my hand travelled to the back of his neck. My eyes opened wide as my other hand travelled to the insides of his shirt
"Sorry" I said and pushed my hand back immediately, forgetting about the pain in my arm for a second. I felt someone swish past us and turned my head still clutching his shirt in between my fingers for my dear life
"Bhaiya, I will get the car outside and till then you carry bhabhi carefully" Saketh said walking or running almost towards the door leading to the outside. Devesh ji snuck in a deep breath before he started walking outside with me in his arms
I gulped, clutched his shirt's collar tighter in between my fingers as my eyes took in his strained jaw, and the muscle twitching just there. He looked like he was in pain while he took calculated steps towards the door
