Jason's Pov. 

Some Time Later. 

Location, 30 miles away from the Twin's. 

Seeing Erwin run into my tent I raise my brow at him, we've been close to the Twin's for some time now hidden in the woods and so far I do not think any men of Walder Frey have seen us. Jaime has laid siege to River Run and I hope that the Sta-

"Stark banners have been seen on the other side of the river, my lord." Erwin breaths out and well there goes that, now the question is what made The Starks start to march south the fact that we have been attacking through the Riverlands and Jaime has laid siege to Riverrun or something else?

I have not sent word to father or anyone else for that matter and they have not send word to me because I do not know if they know where I am at this moment. "How many?" I ask him as I get up and grab my sword before strapping it on my hip while he takes some deep breaths. 

"About 20,000 my Lord." He says and I release a hum, Walder Frey has not chosen side as far as I know but he is an ambitious men he may wish to let the Starks through if his daughter holds the chance to become the wife of the Future Lord of Winterfell. 

And even if it is dishonorable to kill a guest or take them prisoner, I do not trust Walder Frey enough to now wander into there and possibly become the second Lannister Prisoner. And I do not wish to downgrade my brothers, but I hold the most value to my father as I am his heir and through me his line will continue, Jaime can not wed or have children as he is a King's Guard and I think Father would rather burn down The Rock than let Tyrion become the Lord of it and Warden of the West. 

"Well Edwin what do you say for a late-night hunt I have heard the wolves around here have been getting out of control?" I ask him with a smirk as I walk past him and pat his shoulder before walking out of the tent and looking at the men around me. 

"Looks like we are having Wolf tonight!" I yell making them all begin to cheer as they get up and start to get ready, can I kill 20,000 men with my 2500 highly unlikely but I can lessen his numbers before riding back towards Father and telling him the news and that way I may draw the Starks after me instead of towards Jaime.  The only thing I wish to know is who is now leading this army? Did Eddard Stark somehow escape King's Landing or is his son Robb now leading their vassal men?

Dawn is almost here as I let my eyes move over the bridge before I chuckle as I see the Stark Banners start to move in our direction. We have killed the few scouts that have come this way as well we need to make sure they get to enjoy this supprise. 

"Fire." I yell and soon the archers let their arrows fly while the other men grab the torches as it makes a long line as we are in the tree line about 100 yards away from the gate of the Twin's and I see the fools of the North look around before they start to run back as my men continue to let their arrows rain down. 

They need to Twin's to cross now will they let me continue to rain down my arrows on them when they try to get our or will they try to overrun us. Riding away from the men as I let my horse gallop out of the tree line I look around me to the dead soldiers that already lay on the ground. 

"You wish to play little Wolf pup! Come out and play let's see who's teeth are longer and who's claws are stronger!" I taunt as I let my horse ride up and down as I look towards the Twin's. 

"If you don't wish to play I would advise you to turn back around and go home with your tail tucked between your leg's after your mother has given me back my brother!" I continue before riding back towards my men who are waiting for their orders. 

Reaching Edwin I give him my best smile while he looks at me like I have lost my mind. "Anger makes people do stupid things, if he sends his men out in small groups we can shoot them down. We hold the cover of the tree's, we have the archers in position and he can only send out so many men at a time through the opening. We can not defeat him but we can take down a part of his army before we ride back to my father and drag him away from Jaime." I say as I look at Edwin who opens his mouth while no words come out. 

"That is a smart plan, my lord." He says and I give him a shrug. "Maybe but we will have to see if it works." I say before letting my eyes move back towards the Twin's. "And what if it does not work, My lord?" He asks and I shrug my shoulders. 

"Than we keep him here trapped and that is that Jaime wil take Riverrun and The North can not aid them, but if he is willing to sacrifice some of his men then he can overrun us and push us back." I say as  my eyes keep focused in front of me.

"Now dear Edwin it is a waiting game to see what the pup does." 

The Next Night. 

Keeping my eyes open as some of my men are resting, I stretch my body out, we placed torched down in a line to make it look lilke every man is still on his horse but well I let some men rest. I can not rest now because I know that if the pup wishes to do something he will do it in the cover of night, if I let my archers be up to long they can not see shit when their eyes are tired, so I let them rest for some hours. 

Focusing on my hearing I let a smirk appear on my face as I whistle a couple of times to let them know the men need to wake as I hear the distance steps coming from the Twin's. Many times I see the fur coat as a curse but now being able to hear the pup and his men is a blessing. 

Hearing the hushes voices and quick steps also behind me I turn my horse towards Edwin who sits half a sleep on his before I smack his shoulder making him shoot up before I grab his arm to stop him from falling off. 

"Shh." I say and he gives me a quick nod before I let his arm go and close my eyes as I focus on the steps from the Twins that are coming closer and closer. "Cavalry Charge!" I yell as I take my sword out and gallop away and after about 25 yards I see the men of the North as one of them looks at me in shock before I ride past him and cut his head off. Hearing the many hooves behind me soon I hear the many yells coming from the Twins and I geus the sneaky does not work so now he will try and over run us. But we will not run away easily, I will show this pup what happens when they think they can play with the Lion. 

Swinging my sword again It slices through the incoming soldier's arm before I duck to the side as a arrow flies past my head and I raise my brow. Looking towards the line of archers soon about 200 of my men start to ride towards them while I stab a soldier who falls to the ground before I nudge my horse forward again. 

Seeing Edwin struggle with the 4 soldiers who circle him I quickly ride that way before my horse knocks one over while I swing at the second one's head and cut it clean off from the force I put behind it before blocking the incoming swing of Edwin as he swings before turning and his wide eyes soon meet mine before I kick the third one away, pulling my sword away from Edwin's I shove it through the last one making him release a grunt as he spits blood on me before falling to the ground. 

"T-thank you, M-my Lord." He says with wide eyes and I give him a nod. "What are friends for Edwin, now fight and do not die we take down as many of those Nothern idiots before we retreat." I say and he gives me a nod before I nudge my horse forward again as I hold my sword in hand while I let them fight around me happen.

Aaah the first chapter of a new book always feels so good to publish, but this book will take over the update on Wednesday for The Golden Stag since that one is close to finishing!
