The Pink Baseball Cap

Lily was working on her homework along with her brother Micah in his room when his phone began ringing.

"Oh shoot! Where's my phone?" said Micah as he scrambled to find his phone.

The phone's ringing was coming from one of the drawers in his dresser. Micah quickly opened the dresser drawer that had his phone inside and began throwing random things out of it. One of the things thrown out was a bright pink baseball cap, which caught Lily's attention.

'Why does Micah have a pink baseball cap in his drawer?' Lily wondered as she picked up the cap.

"Hey Micah, why do you have a pink baseball cap?" Lily asked her brother.

"I bought it from a strange clothing shop a few months ago. I don't know why though. I'll be back in a second," Micah said quickly as he ran out of his room with his phone in his hands.

Lily looked all over the pink baseball cap seeing if there was anything strange about it. But there was nothing out of the ordinary to be found.

"Why would Micah buy this baseball cap? He doesn't even like anything pink," Lily said to herself.

Lily walked over to the tall mirror that was next to Micah's dresser and decided to try the baseball cap on.

'Hmm. This baseball cap looks pretty good on me. I wonder how Micah would look wearing this,' Lily thought to herself.

Then Micah returned to his room and sat down on the bed.

"Who was on the phone Micah?" Lily asked her brother.

"It was a spam call. Ugh! I can't stand those!" replied Micah.

"Yeah me too. I tried on the baseball cap, how do I look?" said Lily.

"Well you look—," Micah was suddenly cut off when he disappeared into a puff of smoke leaving his clothes behind.

Seeing her brother disappear in front of her eyes shocked and spooked Lily.

"Micah!?! Micah!?! Bro where did you go?!?" Lily said in a panicked voice as she searched her brother's clothes and the rest of the room.

"Oh my god! What happened to my brother?!?" Lily said to herself.

Suddenly, Lily had a very strange feeling all over her body. And then she felt her body start to change.

"W-what's happening t-to m-me?" Lily said as she covered her eyes and laid down on the floor.

Lily could feel herself getting a bit taller, her body getting bigger, and her hair getting shorter. Then the strange feeling throughout Lily's body disappeared and she felt very weird as she sat up.

"Ugh.... What just hap-," Lily covered her mouth hearing her voice. "That's not my voice!".

Lily then looked down at her hands and saw that they were definitely not her hands, but they kinda looked like Micah's.

Lily quickly got up and walked over to the mirror and was shocked at what she saw. Instead of her reflection, it was her brother Micah.

"What the heck!?! Why am I Micah!?!" said Lily in a confused voice.

Lily looked all over herself and she had indeed become her brother somehow.

"How did I become my brother?" Lily asked herself.

Then she remembered the pink baseball cap on her head.

"Did the baseball cap do this? Well, Micah did say he bought it at a strange clothing shop".

Lily took the baseball cap off her head and double checked it again looking for anything weird about it. But when she checked the inside, there was a tiny bit of paper sticking out near the front side.

"What is this?" said Lily as she pulled out the piece of paper.

The paper was about the size of a small square cracker and had some writing on it.

' To switch into another: Place baseball cap on head and say aloud the name of the individual you want to become. Individual will disappear and their body will be your body. (Results stay even after baseball cap is removed)

'To return to normal: Place baseball cap on head and say "Return to normal". Your body will return to yourself and the individual you once were will return. (The individual will not remember anything prior to switch).'

"Phew at least there's a way to return to normal," Lily said with a sigh of relief.

"I should probably let Micah return now. Although.... *Looks at herself in the mirror* I could stay like this for a few more hours. Yeah, then I'll return myself to normal... and maybe ask Micah if I can keep this baseball cap".
