The sky was awake, which meant most people were awake. Or at least waking up. Which was the case for this particular character, who's now married. To a guy.

Hurray! Man, a lot can happen in 7 years.

The curtains were open, lighting up the somewhat small bedroom.

Peter opened his eyes and slowly sat up. He looked to his left, just to see an empty spot.

Mascot had already gotten up to head to work. Peter was surprisingly a heavy sleeper, he only woke up once one time when Mascot got up.

The tabby yawned and got out of the bed, heading to the bathroom that was in the bedroom.

He brushed his teeth, straightened out a bit of fur that was sticking up, and wiped off his face with a face wipe. There was no need to take a shower, he had done that before bed.

Peter walked out of the bathroom. The bed was in the middle of the room, with some windows closest to where Mascot slept. Shelves lined some of the walls with meaningful little knick knacks and some album LPs. Peter always liked music, and Mascot shared that interest with him.

Two dressers were closest to the door. There was a TV in front of the bed and two nightstands with lamps on both sides of the bed, along with closet was facing Peter's side.

Peter grabbed his phone (finally! A cell phone! End of an era..) and started to head downstairs.

The cat headed to the kitchen, which was a light blue color, and started making some toast.

After a few minutes, Peter had made some toast and had spread some peanut butter on it. His friends never made fun of his meals, more people should be like that.

He sat down at the table and finally checked his phone- which had a few notifications. All from Sydney, who called him when he unlocked his phone. The time was weird.

Oh shoot- oh jeeze oh jeeze.

Peter frantically took the call.

Sydney: [on the phone] hey, are you here yet? And also did you get my messages

Peter: oh jeeze oh jeeze uh. Yeah I'm heading out now don't worry

Sydney: [sigh] You forgot, didn't you?

Peter: No! No, I didn't I just went somewhere. Before heading there.

...

Peter: Yeah I completely forgot about our meet-up and I slept in

Peter heard another sigh on the other end of the phone. Thankfully, there was amusement in her voice.

Sydney: Just get over here, your tea is getting cold. And don't worry, I'll pay for it again.
