Ivan didn't know how he felt about Viggo's suspension of Dahila. He figured the man was rarely wrong, but maybe this time he was. He could just be suspecting her because he is trying to find reasons not to like her. As dumb as it sounds, it is a Viggo thing to do. Viggo was smart. He is too smart for his own good at times. He has been that way as long as Ivan has known him, and Ivan doesn't remember a time when he didn't know him. But Viggo wasn't so well versed in the fields of emotional relationships as he is with battle, so he can be overwhelmed by any new emotion easily. And when this happens, Viggo is known to shut himself off from the world and put all his energy into his work. It's his coping mechanism in a way. Even if Ivan doesn't agree with it.
It has always just been me and him. He trusts me more than his brother as he was there even when Ryker wasn't. Mainly when Viggo and his brother were kids, Ryker didn't have the same morales of family over everything. It is normal for young boys to be chaotic and follow the crowd, and Ivan doesn't believe that Viggo blames Ryker for anything that happened in the past, but more over, he blames himself. Ethier way, it has made a permanent mark on their relationship. Which is becoming very known. This, combined with how fast him and Dahila got close and how the riders are impacting our business: is probably why he suspects her.
But ethier way, if his suspension is based or not. Viggo is rarely wrong.

The docks were one of the first things repaired after the riders came last. Mainly so we could send out hunting expeditions.
My mother came from the sea, or at least that's what I used to think since she spent every chance she had at fishing. She was good at her craft, good at patiently waiting for her prey to bite the bait. Patientence was one of her many admirable qualities. Every spring when the tides were constantly running, Mother would take me and my brother to go fish. Mother wasn't a hunter she was a fisher from the mainland. She was one of the many daughters of a so-called king and not his favorite one. Proof of that is he married her off to the vikings or as they put it 'heathens'. Grandfather never had much interest in any of his grandchildren, only the ones who would inherit a kingdom-not a chiefdom. But that changed when he heard of my intellectual capabilities. He suddenly became a very apparent figure, then the only figure. The mainland is a stunning place full of opportunities. Unfortunately, very few vikings can experience the adventure. Most vikings are killed for being pagan, not me. Only a fool would lay a hand on the grandson of King Voltimand Lyon, Viggo Grimborn The Pagan. My grandfather is long gone, but his reputation still stands strong as well as the one he built for me.
The mainland was a beautiful place and perfect for business.
"Make sure y'er careful out there, brother," Ryker stood next to me, and he saw over the preparation of my ship.
"Did you prepare enough proper supplies for 12 days?" The trip usually takes up to 6 days, but the average storm can delay that. Ryker mumbled,"Do cease mumbling, brother. You do know how I hate it. If you have something that needs said, say it,"
"Nothing, brother,"
"Good. Then I shall be off," I turned away from him and made my way down the dock.
"Did you say bye to D?"
"I thought you said you had nothing that needed said," I twisted my head sideways, not to look exactly at him but enough where he could understand that he treaded on a thin line. If his mutton-headed brain allowed for a single useful thought to form.
"...nothing," he mumbles something else and walks away. Good. He needs to remember his place.
