At a time

Chapter 19

No training in the world can prepare someone for the pounding headache she was feeling. This was absolutely awful.

Kimimaro sat silently on the bed opposite hers, a tight frown on his face. Huh, she's a little surprised that he isn't chained up or anything. Not that she wanted him to be but she expected it.

Sasuke was a couple beds down, scowling at anything that looked slightly off to him. Anything being Neji who was placed on the bed opposite to him. She just knows the nurses were laughing their asses off when they did that.

"Because of your incompetence," Neji stresses while Sasuke's glare hardened, "we're in the hospital when we could be helping with the rebuilding."

"Well maybe if you weren't so slow to dodge the attack things could've been different. Don't blame me for your short comings."

"Ugh." Kazemi placed a pillow on her head to drown out the arguing.

Any other day this would've been mildly entertaining  but today it was just annoying.

The door clicked open as the arguing lessened. A nurse walked in causing Kazemi to lift the pillow off of her head to see the woman.

"Uzumaki, you've got a couple visitors. Hyuga, you have some as well. Uchiha, your visitors are mostly Uzumaki's as well so if you wish to refuse them we can move you--"

"I'll see them." Sasuke cuts in.

Raising an eyebrow towards her teammate Kazemi feels mildly surprised. She honestly hadn't expected him to be fine with others seeing him in this state. But then again what does she know?

Sakura and Ino both barge in through the door with Hinata, TenTen, Lee and Gai following not a moment later. Shikamaru, Kiba, Chouji and Shino took a little longer with Kiba leaning on Shino for support with a broken leg.

Shikamaru, Chouji, Kiba and by proxy Shino came to her first.

"How you hanging in there Kazemi?" Kiba asks before wincing, placing far to much pressure on his leg.

The Uzumaki gave him a bemused look. "Better than you from the looks of it. Shouldn't you be in bed?"

"Nah, a broken leg isn't exactly the most prioritised thing right now. A lot of people were injured."

Ah, that makes sense.

"And Kakashi?" She asks while looking around. "Where is he?"

He should be here, the man always visits her when she lands in the hospital.

Shikamaru was the one to answer her. "In a clan head meeting. They've been at it for two days now with only a couple hours of recess."

And no one invited her? Assholes. Not that she wanted to go but still.

But seriously two days? Damn, that's the longest she's ever been out for.

"Kakashi-Sensei said that he was filling in for you." Chouji speaks up. "Which I don't know what that means but he told me to tell you."

"Well if you see him before me tell him I said he was the best."

"Will do."

The time passed as the groups rotated between people. Karin came in after some time and waved to her before sitting on Kimimaro's bed. Good, the poor boy was looking kinda lonely.

After a couple hours of getting her ear chatted off the nurse came back to tell them to leave.

"Alright everyone, visiting hours are over."
