"She likes you to be her adoptive father."
Ten couldn't help but think about those words. He never thought that the child would grow such attachment towards him, and it made him happy, but those thoughts that he might be a terrible parent to the twins were also haunting his mind.
The sun rays slipped through his curtains, hitting his face as a way of greeting another morning for him to look forward to. Groaning in annoyance, he rolled over and sat up. Now, he had to see his annoying rival once again. Just as he stepped outside his room, he saw Kun preparing for breakfast for himself, him, and the twins. He didn't seem to notice his presence, so Ten nonchalantly looked away and headed towards the bathroom to clean himself up.
Kun, on the other hand did indeed notice him coming out of his room. A soft smile appeared on his face when he sensed his presence in a distance, and he was already fighting the urge to greet him a simple good morning. Without looking back at him, he let him walk away while he continued on his work. A few minutes later, Kun's smile widened at the sound of the twins' happy footsteps coming out of their rooms, and it sounded like they were coming towards the kitchen.
"Good morning, Mister Kun!" Perrie automatically wrapped his arms around Kun's thigh, making the older look down at him with a warm smile. "Good morning, Perrie. Good morning, Cherrie. I'm making your favorite." Hearing those magic words, the two happily cheered before giving their "father" some space, sitting down on their chairs as they watched him cook. Kun wasn't bothered by their presence while he was also enjoying the silence, for he loved to spend time with the kids, and he just wanted to make them happy. It was Saturday, meaning that he won't have to send them to school.
His ears perked up when he heard their tiny voices whispering to each other, and it made him smile at how they praised both him and Ten.
"Mister Kun is so cool, right? He argues with bad guys everyday with some cool words!"
"Mister Ten is cool too! He makes awesome cakes and coffees! He also knows how to draw! Cherrie, I want them to be our fathers."
Kun's heart suddenly skipped a few beats at the words Perrie had whispered to his twin sister. Without a word, he gently served the warm breakfast he made, making the twins smile wider. "Thank you, Mister Kun!" Cherrie gave him a grateful smile before standing up to move a chair for Kun to sit down. "Ah, Cherrie, my dear. You don't have to do that to me." Kun couldn't help but simply chuckle at the girl's sweet gesture towards him. He sat down and gave the two kids a small wink, telling them to wait patiently for Ten to arrive.
Ten, after a few minutes was finally done with his shower. With a new set of clothes and fresh skin, he went out of the bathroom with a smile on his face as he saw the twins greeting him with a warm smile. Kun, on the other hand just gave him a quick glance before going back to his meal, but it didn't bother him, instead he was glad at their usual cold greetings towards each other. Just as he arrived at the table to ruffle their soft hairs, about to decline the breakfast, his smile immediately disappeared when he heard Kun speak.
"Sit down. We're talking about that." Ten stared at Kun for a few seconds before sighing softly in defeat, reluctantly sitting down across from him. "Right. Cherrie, Perrie, we have something important to announce to you two." Ten gave the twins a soft, reassuring smile as he noticed that they were nervous and anxious, which was understandable. "We're not kicking you out, of course. We love you too much for that." Ten added.
The twins just sat there in silence, waiting patiently and anxiously for either one of them to speak up. "So, Mister Kun and I have decided to adopt you two legally, as our children." Those words of Ten made Kun's eyes go wide. He did not expect him to just agree to his decision, his mortal rival and enemy! Just as how happy the twins were, Kun, as well was happy for the decision to be mutual. He then gave the two a warm, and confident smile. "That's right! From now on, we're going to be your fathers." With Kun's response, Perrie and Cherrie's smile widened in pure joy and relief, now that they finally had the parents that will fulfill their missing gaps in their hearts. "Does this mean you're going to be married and have us as your children?!" Perrie enthusiastically asked the two, which made them choke on their own air. "N-No! We're not getting married! Never!" Ten raised his voice, his cheeks reddening out of embarrassment. Kun, on the other hand was unfazed by the boy's question. "Why?" Cherrie innocently asked, and her adorable innocence immediately melted their hearts. "Well, Cherrie, my dear. Two people can raise anything and anyone without getting involved in any romantic relationships. Just like in some cases, there are friends who raise pets or even children!" While Kun was explaining the concept to the twins effortlessly, he could hear Ten's scoffs, and it irritated him to the depths of his soul.
"Bitch, we're not even friends."
Kun's ears perked up. When Ten thought that Kun didn't hear that, well he's wrong. He can hear every single word he says even if he's a mile apart. That's just how they hate each other.
"Watch your language, Chittaphon." Kun pointed his finger at Ten. He was clearly not happy with Ten's bitchy attitude, especially right in front of the kids. After a few minutes of silence, Ten stood up from his seat, preparing to leave the house without even touching his plate. "I'm going to work."
Just before he could leave the table, Kun tossed a lunchbox at him, causing him and the twins to jump in surprise. "Your lunch. I don't want to pay your hospital bills if something related to skipping meals happens to you." Ten just stood there, frozen. He was stunned by his sudden acts of kindness. Like, how the hell did he know that he skips meals?!
"M-Mhm, 'kay." Ten then grabbed the lunchbox and went straight outside the house, leaving the kids and Kun there with their breakfast.
