Chapter 12

I turned around and sat on the steps catching my breath, as I looked into the darkness, "Oh, let me get the lights" I laughed getting up and walking along the wall finally finding two switches.

The lights turned on revealing a TV, couch, bunch of PS3 and Xbox games. "Yeah, this is where I hang out a lot" I laughed pulling my PS3 out of my suitcase and plugged it up.

"Did you guys get a new couch?" Rachel asked laying down on it as she has come down here to play video games along with Matthew. "Yeah, the other one was getting run down" I told her.

"We might lose power soon, so I say we all plug in our phones if you want to listen to your music, and play any games you want. When we do lose power I have a generator but it only works for I think 6 hours at a time and will take 6 hours to charge again" I told them.

"Where are we going to sleep" Luke asked. "The floor" I said. "Kidding, well not really, we are going to sleep in sleeping bags and things, so kind of still on the floor" I laughed.

"What time is it" I asked everyone. "6:52pm"Ashton told me as I set the clock on the wall. I walked over to a cabinet and opened it where there was 3 sleeping bags.

"There are 3 double sleeping bags" I told everyone as I passed them to people and we got them all spread out. We put blankets and pillows on them, making them look decent.

"How long will this last" Rachel asked scared as there were crashes in the distance. I grabbed my phone and went to the weather app, "It could last up to 2 days to possibly a week" I said before putting down my phone which is on the charger even though I was only on 97%.

Rachel rubbed her eyes as she cursed under her breath. She flinched as there was another crash, now sounding closer than the last one. "Give your parents a call real quick, before it gets too bad" I told Rachel and Matthew.

The quickly grabbed their phones and called their parents telling them that they are in a safe place and that they love them and other things.

Rachel got off the phone as three crashes in a row happened sounded maybe a mile away. "How about we just try to get some sleep" I offered.

"So who is sleeping together?" I asked. "I call the couch" Matthew called. Racheal and Calum in one, Ashton and Michael in the second one, Luke and I in the last one.

I got in, laid my head down and soon fell asleep.

Yeah.. That only lasted about 3 hours before we heard crashes and thuds above us, waking us all up.
