Chapter 16

I looked around bodies and blood everywhere, the tornado must have gotten in.

I ran over to my dad since I saw her first. "Dad!" I yelled running over seeing a large piece of glass stuck through his stomach. He choked trying to get his breathing back.

I picked him up carefully with the help of Calum and Micheal and got him to a car that was dented but it started when we put the keys in (which were on the floor).

"Take him to the hospital two towns away, they didn't get hit so they should still be good, go fast!" I said quickly giving the keys to Calum.

"What about you" he asked quickly getting in. "I need to find mom" I said running away as he pulled out. I ran back in and went back downstairs.

Ashton, Michael, and Luke stayed with me, Matthew and Rachel going with Calum. We all looked around, I heard a cough and lifted a board seeing my mom's face but this time covered in blood.

I dropped down to my knees instantly grabbing her and pulling her into my arms, "mom" I whispered holding her close before pulling back to see her wounds.

She had a number of gushing cuts down her legs and arms from things flying and falling around and on her. Her nose was bleeding and she had a cut along her stomach from the board on top of her.

I took off my jacket and put it over the cut putting pressure trying to stop it from bleeding. I could see her skin turning paler as she continued to lose more blood.

I lifted the jacket and used a clean side and wiped off the blood off her face as she looked up to me struggling to breath. I felt the tears pouring from my eyes as I rested my forehead to hers.

"I love you so much! Please don't leave" I yelled holding onto her as she held onto me. "I-i love you t-too..." she trailed off her grip loosening as she took her last breath.

"No.. no no no no" I repeated shaking her. "no, you can't leave me" I cried out holding her hand. I rested my forehead back to hers as my body shook from me crying.

"Samantha..." Ashton came up behind me, "No, she can't be gone" I said not wanting to believe this was really it. "I'm so sorry, but it is" Luke said rubbing my back.

Michael pulled me back from my mom as Ashton grabbed a sheet and covered her as I cried into Michael's shirt. My mom really is dead, this is it. No more seeing her smile when I walked in every morning.

No more hugs, oh her hugs... she was the best hugger. I gripped onto his shirt getting blood on it, luckily he didn't care enough to be bothered as he continued to sh me and tell me that everything was going to be okay.

I sniffed and rubbed my eyes with the back of my hands. "Thank you" I whispered to Michael before standing up and looking over to the white sheet on top of my mom.

I closed my eyes tightly before soon going upstairs and finding a car we could use and having Ashton drive us to the hospital Calum and them were at as we were all silent during the car ride.
