"Sorry, I can't come over, I'm studying." The past week or two all he has been doing is studying nonstop. Luke never studied this much in his life; I don't know what he is studying for. We have no tests this week and finals aren't for three months."What are you studying for?" I couldn't help it, I was always nosy. "Just some stupid test I have to make up, we can hang out tomorrow, I promise." Of course, he doesn't remember. He always forgets now.

Today was my last day at my mum's. I'm going to my dad's, which is on the other side of town. Yeah, I'm still going to the same school, but Luke lives across the street when I'm with my mum. When I'm at my dad's, it takes thirty minutes to get to each others' houses.

"I'm going to be at my dad's for the rest of the week."

I'm not going to lie, it kind of hurt that Luke forgot, he never forgot before. All of sudden when this school year started, he has forgotten every week now. Normally, he would stay over until my dad came the next day to pick me up. "Crap, right. Sorry, I can't. I-It's this big test I have to make up. I'm just glad I'm able to make it up." Luke never stuttered.

"It's fine, whatever. Sorry for interrupting you." I was slightly pissed he couldn't take a break for one day. "Sorry. I'll see you at school tomorrow."

Really?

I sigh laying my phone down on my bed, why is he forgetting now? Just now? He never forgot, ever. I look over at my phone seeing the call still in progress. I roll my eyes just about to let Luke know, but I stopped myself.

"Sorry about that. She hasn't stopped calling me all day."
"I don't get it, why are you friends with this chick if you're annoyed with her?"
"Cause our mums' are really close and shit. Trust me, if they weren't, I would've left her a long time ago."
"You make it sound like she's your girlfriend."
"Well, she's clingy enough."

What? I bite my lip hanging up the call. I throw my phone off the bed, I hear the glass break. I never liked cases. I look around my room; a few of Luke's things were here. Jackets, shirts, CDs, even his vans, a picture of him and me when we were younger or just a few weeks ago were on the wall as well. I couldn't stand to look at them anymore already. Did he really mean that? That I was clingy? Annoying? I mean, I know I was a bit nosy at some moments, but I didn't know Luke ever thought that way.

My phone starts ringing. I don't bother getting up to get it. Instead, I throw a pillow on it to drown out the ringtone. I wrap my arms tightly around my knees, resting my head on them. After my phone went off five times, it finally stopped, until my mum walked in. "Luke is on the phone, he said he's been trying to call you." she laughed. I look over at her and shake my head. I didn't want to talk to him. I know that by now, he knows that he didn't hang up.

"Sweetie, he's your best friend! Why don't you want to talk to him?" mum laughed again. Luke was hearing all of this, probably laughing with whoever it was. I shake my head again before looking out the window. Sighing, she closes the door.

"Sorry Luke, she won't talk to you."

I got up early the next morning to take a shower and finish getting last minute stuff together. I go in my bathroom, grabbing the small bag I filled with bathroom needs. I walked back into my room, tossing it on my already made bed. Luke called a few times this morning along with several texts. I'd delete them and ignore the constant ringing. I end up turning my phone on silent.

I walk around my room, picking up random things Luke left here within the several years. I know I'm probably overreacting because of this, but as of right now I don't want to see anything of Luke's. I bend down on my knees picking up a sweatshirt under my desk and hold it in my hands looking down at it. It was one of Luke's favorite ones. It was quite shocking when he left it here a couple months ago.
