CHAPTER 6: Mission Izuku

5 DAYS LATER~

Bakugo had been following Shoto's advice for the past five days, and the results were very satisfactory, to say the least.

Izuku had begun opening up to the blond little by little. The greenette was still skeptical about the situation, but he would smile at Bakugo whenever their eyes met, and to his surprise, Bakugo would return the gesture.

While going home, Izuku did not avoid the shorter path yesterday because he wouldn't run into Bakugo if he did, which made the blond's heart feel warmer.

Bakugo never knew that caring for Izuku would make him feel like this. He was happier these days. He felt comfortable with himself as the burden of guilt was slowly lifting from his heavy heart.

He was currently on his way to get Izuku a pack of chips for lunch.

'I knew I could trust that Candy Cane bastard.'

Bakugo smirked as he thought back on when Shoto first told him how he should be approaching the, no, his greenette.

FLASHBACK

5 DAYS AGO, AFTER SCHOOL~

"So, what do you have in mind?"

Bakugo spoke while leaning against the wall of UA's backyard. They had decided to meet up there for more privacy. Bakugo was constantly heard badmouthing the dual-toned boy, so he couldn't afford to be seen with him by any of his friends.

"I thought about it yesterday, and I realized that you really don't need an elaborate plan to approach someone as simple as Midoriya."

Shoto said as he stood in front of him with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Tch, are you unable to come up with a plan or what?"

Bakugo felt irritated, thinking that Shoto's efforts weren't sincere enough.

"*sigh* Have patience, dude."

Bakugo could only "hmph" at that and let Shoto continue.

"Anyway, first of all, you approach him slowly. Don't be all over him from the beginning just because you desperately want him to forgive you. It'll weird him out."

Bakugo nodded at that, shocked that Shoto was able to guess his actions.

"You have to be nice to him, yes, but start with small actions. Like, if you see him, don't bully him and take your friends elsewhere. You can also just walk up to him and give him a pack of juice or something for lunch because I have seen that he doesn't eat lunch."

'And I can't buy him anything for personal reasons.'

Shoto thought simultaneously.

"In any case, just be subtle with your actions, and I'll keep putting in a good word for you."

Bakugo was impressed by how well Shoto understood both of them. It almost scared him.

"All that is OK, Icy-Hot, but how the hell do you know us that well?"

Bakugo just had to know.

"What do you mean? I am a friend of Midoriya. I obviously know him well. As for you, your personality isn't that deep, so there wasn't much to figure out."
