A/N: Hello all!
I'm late once again, but this time, I had a pretty valid reason. My family and I went out for a little vacation, and I was unaware of the fact that there would be no internet there... so yeah.😑
Anyway, I'm back now, and here is your chapter! ❤️💙💚
Enjoy~

The road was illuminated by the aged streetlights placed occasionally along the roadside. The crickets were chirping in the dead of the night, hidden among the bushes lined against the walls of several houses that the blond passed while sauntering back home.

Having been forced to leave for his home by Izuku because it was already late at night, Katsuki had begrudgingly decided to comply. He had contemplated arguing to stay around the greenette some more, but he knew that there was no winning from a stubborn Izuku. And so, here he was, frowning as he walked, trying hard not to already miss 'his' Deku.

'My... Deku...?'

The thought suddenly crossed his mind, making his heart do a funny little flutter. It managed to improve his initially sour mood slightly, eliciting a small smile on his face. Katsuki stubbornly wanted to act upset over the current distance between him and the greenette, but the memory of all that happened a while ago was making it difficult for him to stay annoyed.

With that moment still fresh in his mind, Bakugo could still feel the lingering warmth of the greenette's lips on his own even now, and his fingers reached up to subconsciously brush against them. He let out a low chuckle when he thought back to how endearing Izuku looked with his red, freckled cheeks when the two's lips had met.

'He's going to be the death of me someday... shit.'

Bakugo stuffed his hands in his pockets, his mind filled with every event of the past... all the cruelties he had hurled at the greenette, those guilt-ridden nights that had refused to let him sleep, and especially those times when he had wanted to just pull Izuku into a warm embrace to protect him from all the evils... him being a part of it.

Katsuki had never realized, but his love had been drowning in the facade of his conscience. Many times, his heart screamed to him to let go of everything and just accept the greenette, but he had always found it difficult to do so... before today.

Now, the wait was finally over.

After years of differences between the two, he was finally able to get the man he had craved. He still couldn't believe how fortunate he was to end up as Izuku's twin flame.

It was too good to be true, and yet, it was the only truth Bakugo wished to live with.

However, the blond also knew that he wasn't alone in this. There was someone who had helped him from the beginning to end, someone who had helped him take the very first step, someone, without whom, he would never have enough courage to accept his own mistakes and ask for forgiveness.

Todoroki Shoto.

'Fuck! How can I forget about that Candy Cane?! I need to tell him now!'

Katsuki let the excitement of revealing it to the dual-haired boy take over him completely as he fished his phone out of his pocket. His fingers moved swiftly across the phone screen as he dialed Shoto's number.

He was now walking faster, waiting for the call to connect, and his heart almost leaped out of his chest when he heard Shoto's sleepy voice speak over the phone:

SHOTO(S): Hm... what happened, Katsuki? I was sleeping...

KATSUKI (K): Oi! Icy-Hot! It's not the time to sleep, dumbass! You won't believe what just happened!
