A/N: Heyoo~
So, here is another chapter, and I personally enjoyed writing this one, so I hope you all like it too 🥹
I really have worked hard for this book, so I am extremely thankful to all of you for your love and support!
❤️💙💚ONE WEEK LATER~
Izuku was happily skipping through the roads on his way to school. It had been a while since Izuku was this happy, and why wouldn't he be? He had kissed his lifelong crush only a week ago! Though it was on the cheek, it still counted for him.
Not only that, but in the last seven days, Bakugo and Izuku had started talking over texts and calls. Izuku would call him up late at night after putting his mother to sleep, and they would talk for hours, as if the world was going to end the next day.
Bakugo had stopped avoiding Izuku when in school. While his friends found it particularly odd that Bakugo was paying any attention to his arch enemy, or in Bakugo's words, 'the dumbass Deku', Bakugo didn't care.
The only person to whom Bakugo could be bothered to explain the things to was Kirishima, his best friend, who was extremely curious and too hyped up about the entire situation, but Bakugo had managed to calm him down by saying that he would tell him when the time was right.
The two, Izuku and Bakugo, had almost all their free lessons together, so they even began spending that time playing basketball or soccer, or sometimes they would just lie down on the grassy field and talk while staring at the depths of the sky.
Izuku could see how hard the blond was trying to make it up to him, and Izuku couldn't help but admire his efforts.
'I'm finally able to talk to him like the old times!'
He smiled to himself as he remembered those days when the two shared an unbreakable bond. It was indeed quite sad that they had to go through so many ups and downs in their friendship, but which friendship hasn't seen its share of struggles?
Being able to talk with Bakugo was a luxury that the greenette had been dreaming about for way too long, and now it was finally within his reach. So, yes, in short, Izuku was happy.
However, there was one thing that still scared the young greenette, and he had spent the entire week thinking about it.
His dormant feelings for Bakugo were igniting inside him once again, and he was scared because this wasn't some elementary school kid's love anymore. No, it was something more passionate, the kind he had never felt before.
And he knew exactly what it was.
It was love, not just a mere crush, and definitely not the brotherly type.
Izuku was a grown man now. He had received his cosmos, and his twin flame was out there waiting for him, but Izuku couldn't help his feelings for Bakugo that had sparked inside him yet again.
'All these years... I was only lying to myself...'
He knew that he was extremely unsuccessful in forgetting his feelings for the blond, but now they scared him even more because he knew that even if his twin flame was in front of him, he wouldn't be able to stop loving Bakugo.
'Wait... Cosmos of Destruction... What if... Just what if... it is Bakugo?!'
Izuku stopped in his path. The thought sent a shiver down his spine.
'But... Bakugo wouldn't want to be my soulmate... right?'
Izuku couldn't help the doubts arising inside him. He was excited, but he could still feel an empty sadness lingering inside him. Honestly, his doubts were valid because one can't nullify years of their traumas in days.
