A/N: Hello beautiful people!
...
Alright, I know, no amount of flattery can make up for the massive delay. 😮‍💨
I'm so sorry about that, but I hope you like this chapter.

A FEW DAYS LATER ~

The night was presenting itself above the horizon and was slowly creeping upon the sky. The stars did not grace tonight with their twinkle, and the air around flowed in its solemn rhythm.

Under a similar tranquility of the darkness, in the aged light of the street lamp, stood a certain blonde in front of Izuku's house with his heart pounding mercilessly in his chest and a bead of sweat trickling down the side of his face.

Bakugo had just bolted to where Izuku lived with no plan or reassuring advice this time, with every reason to do so.

The greenette had been consistently absent from school since that day, which might have been a normal occurrence to the blonde if not for the fact that he had also been ignoring all the calls and messages from both Katsuki and Shoto.

Afraid of confronting Katsuki about his twin flame, Izuku had retreated into his safe cocoon. He desperately wanted to know who the blond's twin flame was, and yet, he didn't want to regret knowing it. The greenette had been debating in his head for days while the other two were trying not to meddle with his issues because they knew that he would've asked for help if he needed it.

However, Bakugo had had enough of waiting.

He couldn't sleep his worries off like he had been doing for the past few nights anymore, and there was a constant feeling nagging at his soul that he was unable to put off: Fear.

The fear that Izuku, his twin flame, the boy he loved so passionately, was avoiding him.

As a result, here he was, contemplating ringing the doorbell of the house of his twin flame, his mind clouded with the uncertainty of his decision.

'You better not be ignoring me for a shitty reason, Deku.'

He thought to himself, simultaneously proceeding to ring the doorbell. He pressed the little button, causing a sweet tune to go off and echo through the house, immediately alerting Izuku, who was in bed, trying to make sense of the random pattern on the ceiling.

The greenette got to his feet and walked downstairs to the door. He wondered who could be ringing their doorbell in the middle of the night as he peeped through the peephole only for his eyes to widen and his heart to thump painfully against his chest.

"K-Kacchan...?"

He murmured to himself with his feet stumbling backward and away from the door.

"W-What do I do now?!"

The greenette panicked, feeling anxiety fill up every fiber of his being. He began pacing back and forth, muttering nervous words to himself as he struggled to make the decision.

But his constant rambling was interrupted when Bakugo pressed the doorbell again, and the tune reached Izuku's ears again.

'He'll go away after a while...'

Izuku nodded in agreement with his thoughts and went back upstairs to his room. His mother, Inko, was out like a light due to the pills she took, and Izuku had no issues with hearing the bell go off a couple more times.

'Sorry, Kacchan.'

he thought to himself as he slipped under the covers. He muffled the constant ringing of the doorbell for his ears by pressing his pillow against them using his hands.
