An owl on a banyan tree watched a young man walk and sit down under it. It hooted to alert the person of its presence, but the omega didn't seem to mind it. The gentle night breeze made the leaves rustle and produce light noises, the full moon shone brightly on the sky and the stars danced around it.

It was such a nice atmosphere, but Jeongguk was too shaken up to acknowledge it. He stared at the items in his palms, a bracelet and a whistle. Duri had said these two things were present in the box he had been in when she found him. Jeongguk had only used the whistle, never the bracelet as Duri said it was far too important to lose. He had it kept in a small box and the whistle was hung around his neck. He hadn't questioned it because he trusted her. He still does, which is why he knows that whatever she hid from him was for a reason.

Jeongguk thought about his life in Der and wondered if it was all real. He had come to this place in a wooden box. He had vague memories of a white wolf looming over him when the box was opened, ofcourse that was Duri. Then Duri raised him as her own, along with a few omegas. Der was an oasis for omegas who were runaways, abandoned or lost. A perfect place for Jeongguk. When he joined the pack, there weren't much omegas only some adults, like Duri and Jihyo. Duri was strict with him. She didn't let him train with other omegas, instead made him train alone in a private arena. She only let him change into his wolf form when no one was there, even Lisa hasn't seen his wolf. Jeongguk was five when Lisa stumbled upon the pack, then after that many omegas joined. Now there was about thirty omegas in the pack.

Jeongguk had once asked Duri how their scents were not recognised with so many omegas in one place and Duri had said "well dear, we are in the deepest part of Oxin. Which is the safest, the other parts however has many dangers and all those disgusting scents masks the beauty of our pack" she said. Then Jeongguk again asked her, how the omegas finds their pack. She had said the Moon goddess, who is the mother of all, guides them. Just like she guided Jeongguk.

Everyone in Der adored Jeongguk. Not just for his ethereal beauty but also the warmth of his heart. He was such a sweetheart and always helped everyone. He was so full of love and was loved by everyone, and so he was called 'Venus' by the pack. He always felt the name was too much of a compliment but nobody changed it so he rolled with it.

Out of all the omegas in the pack, Lisa was the one he had connected with. They both had crazy ideas and knew how to execute them perfectly. They were always in sync, even during their heat. So both of them were inseparable. Which is why Jeongguk plans to take Lisa with him for the mission.

Speaking of the mission, Duri said to give Aegis his bracelet. Aegis was his pet tiger. When he was about three years old, Duri gave him the whistle and told him to blow it. He did and a tiger cub emerged from the bushes out of nowhere. Strangely baby Jeongguk didn't feel scared instead he waddled to the cub and befriended it. Ever since then whenever Jeongguk blew the whistle Aegis will come and they will play or train together. There was a mind link between the two and they could talk telepathically, which enriched their bond.

Now back to the bracelet, it was made up of a brown thread and it had a moon charm and the word 'Venus' embroidered on a golden plate charm. It's been so long since Jeongguk took it out.

With a big sigh, he brought the whistle to his lips and blew it. Then he waited for a few seconds and he heard a low growl from the bushes near by. His eyes followed the noise and suddenly a huge grown tiger jumped out and tackled him. The bracelet fell from Jeongguk's hands and he hugged the tiger back.

"Oh Aegis, I missed you" he said and Aegis licked his face. With a laugh, Jeongguk gently pushed the tiger back and sat up. Then he felt around for the bracelet and whistle. When he found them, he put the whistle over his head and held up the bracelet to Aegis. "Here boy, you need to take this bracelet and keep it safe okay?" He asked. Aegis sniffed the bracelet and took it between his mouth.

"I see you are aware of yourself" he spoke into his mind. Jeongguk nodded with a sigh. "You will be an amazing ruler, master" said the tiger. Jeongguk smiled at that. He connected their foreheads and nuzzled into the beast.

"Thank you, Aegis. I hope so too" he paused and then leaned back. "So, I am guessing you know your task?" He asked and the tiger growled approvingly.

"Oh yes, I know it very well. I'm going to make that pure blood go through hell before bringing him to you. I hope for your safety till then" said Aegis, and the smugness was present in his face.

"Pure blood? What do you mean?" Questioned Jeongguk, with a curious glint in his face. He had heard many legends about pure bloods.

"Ah, you weren't supposed to know about that. Please do not ask around, especially to Duri. The lady will freak out. I should get going. I'll see you soon master" Aegis gave a goodbye lick to Jeongguk, and in return Jeongguk planted a kiss on his head. The tiger then jumped back to into the bush and disappeared into the night.

Jeongguk sat there confused and curious. There were so many questions he wanted answered but no one seemed to be answering him. He looked up at the moon and said a silent prayer for the safety of his tiger. Then, he stood up and walked to his den.
