A hustle around the palace wakes up the slumbering questers, and they head out to investigate. Jeongguk and Taehyung wandered the hallways looking for signs of danger.
"What's going on?" Lisa asks as she catches up to Jeongguk and Taehyung. The alpha and the omega look at her and the immortal trailing behind her.
"We don't know." Jeongguk says. "We heard commotions,"
"What could it be?" Seokjin asks.
"Let's find out," Taehyung says and begins walking. They trail after him. When they neared the throne room, the noises grew louder. Commands and instructions were thrown around the room.
"Is everything alright?" Jeongguk asked the royals. Namjoon, who had his hand on his forehead, turned to him.
"It's the Narvanians," he replied.
"What happened to them?" Lisa asked with furrowed eyebrows and hints of worry.
"They are coming. It is an unexpected visit," Jimin responded, with a tight-lipped smile. The four exchanged glances, a worry growing in the pit of their stomach.
"Why?" Jeongguk asked. His mind flashed to the words of his tiger. "Weren't they supposed to come a week later?"
"Yes, well," Namjoon began with a sigh. "They have important news, they said. We have to open the palace gates and make arrangements for a warm welcome." He explained, and another servant came to him and began speaking to him.
Jimin turned to them. "This is not like prince Hoseok." He said. "Though he likes surprises, he wouldn't visit without telling. Especially not with a whole army." He concluded with a sigh.
"An army?" Jeongguk whispered. Was this what Aegis meant? Was something terrible going to happen? And does the Narvanians know?
The conch horn blew, and they all made their way outside. Jeongguk could see them. The royal carriage was in the front lines with other warriors riding their horses. Behind them was an army that covered half of the hill. Narva's flag waved high and proud, along with a white flag. If it weren't for that, one would think this is an attack.
The palace gates opened wide and welcoming. The Royal Carriage drove in along with the front lines. While the rest of the army waited right outside. The crown prince stepped down from his royal horse.
Prince Namjoon and the others moved to greet him. They bowed to each other.
"Prince Hoseok, always a pleasure seeing you," Namjoon smiled and shook his hands. Behind Hoseok, the warlock Yoongi stepped out, and they acknowledged him.
"I'm afraid this is not such a pleasure, my friend." The prince sighed. Namjoon's eyebrows raised, and Jeongguk stepped forward.
"What do you mean?" He asked. "What is wrong?" Hoseok looked at him, and a small smile graced his features. Taehyung stepped forward as well and placed a hand on the small of his omega's back.
"Your Highness," the prince bowed once again. His expression took on a serious note once again. "There has been a terrible change in the cosmos." He said.
Aegis's words flashed in Jeongguk's mind.
"Please be clear, your majesty." Namjoon said. Yoongi stepped up next to Prince Hoseok.
"The Blood Moon has changed its course." He said. "Unlike we anticipated, it is tomorrow." He revealed.
Dead silence responded. The atmosphere stilled and a pressure enveloped them. Seokjin's exhale broke the tense silence.
"What?" Taehyung's voice cut through like a knife. Hoseok sighed gravely.
"I'm afraid it's the truth. We got to know only last night, and we packed up half of our army and rode here." He said.
