All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy,
and makes Jill an average housemaid.
You see, as a woman she's born into a trade
Where it's unsightly to find things to enjoy.
Responsibility is her only game, her apron her only toy,
So while Jill dusted and cooked, Jack ran and he played-
As all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy,
And makes Jill an average housemaid.
To have a good time she's got to be coy
Taking what little earnings she's paid,
And buying fun things in the free time that she's made
Knowing that he won't be in her envoy
As all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

A Rondel is a french form consisting of 13 lines: two quatrains and a quintet, rhyming as follows: ABba abAB abbaA. The capital letters mean those lines are exactly the same and you don't need to worry about counting syllables at all!
