"Nothing new about your sister, Ava?" Zack asked as he noticed my same sad expression.

"Nope. Still the same" I said sighing

It's been five days since she went to the hospital and things aren't getting better. As days go by, she seems to be sadder and weaker. It breaks my heart to go visit her and see her small body on the hospital bed, connected to wires and tubes.

My parents are exhausted and they are barely at home anymore. My dad is at work during the day and sleeps at the hospital during the night, but it's obvious that he doesn't get the best sleep.

While dad is sleeping , it's my mom's turn to be at work, but luckily she's a doctor, which means her job is in the same building as April. She stays with her during the day and sleeps god knows when. I barely see them when they come home for fresh clothes or to check on me.

I bet they both are aware that Billie is the one I spend most of my time with but they can't do anything about it. They know I need someone too.

"What about Noah? Did you ask Billie anything about the papers?" Victoria tried to change the subject

"Not really. I don't really want to get her involved" I said trying to explain. They don't know the things Billie said to me about him, since I promised I wouldn't tell them.

"What about that friend of his? Theo, or whatever his name was" Travis asked.

I totally forgot about him since he didn't give any sign. I tried to reach out to him on instagram but he never accepted my request.

"I couldn't contact him. The last time I saw him was at Noah's funeral. I tried instagram, but nothing"

"That's fucked up" Travis said

I looked around and noticed the thoughtful expression on David's face. He looked like he was deep in his thoughts, then he suddenly looked at me.

"What did you say his name was? The dude you couldn't find" He asked

"Theodor Moore. My cousin used to call him Theo" I told him. David knows about my cousin and the way I had doubts about his death, but we never told him the story in detail.

"Oh my god! I think he's my sister's boyfriend. They've been dating for a couple years now and I know he's not really using social media for some reason. I have some pictures with him if you want" David took out his phone and searched through his photo gallery. He stopped to what looked like a Christmas family picture, then he zoomed in on a guy.

"That's him. Oh my god. Could you ask him if we could meet?" I asked excited once I saw the picture. I couldn't believe it was really him. I never would have thought the world is really that small.

"I can give you his phone number and you could call him. I don't think he would mind"

"Thank you so much David" I said as I was saving Theo's phone number. I wasn't gonna call him now. I need some time to figure out what to ask.

I knew Billie already told me things, but I knew Theo was a good friend of his. Maybe that's the reason they stopped talking.Noah got into fucked up stuff and Theo didn't like it. I wanted to know the whole story. I knew Billie wouldn't like it, so I had to hide that.

"Please Ava, you have to sleep." Billie tried to convince me as she reached for the phone I kept looking on.

"I can't. Not after seeing her like that" I said feeling my throat getting stiff as the thought of my sister came back to my mind.

Today it broke my heart to see her. My mom was trying to make her eat but she kept refusing any type of food. She was crying because she got tired of being in the hospital in the same bed for so long. She lost weight and her smile I love so much is gone too.
