Chapter 31

Melody Venus Stone

We arrive at this fancy restaurant. I say fancy because that is the exact word for it. When you see this restaurant, fancy flashes instantly to the mind. Everyone was wearing dresses and suits, including us.

I wore a short black dress with thin straps. The left corner of the dress was up higher than the right creating a slant of ruffles in the dress. It showed my very, very small tattoo I had on my thigh that said honey. I paired it with black heels and diamond earrings. I styled my hair with loose curls. I was nervous to meet his sisters. I wanted to make a good impression. Maybe this was a bit too sexy, to wear to dinner with his sisters but this is what Lani packed me. I say that maybe it was too sexy because the look in Theo's eyes were anything but innocent.

"You should be happy you asked her to be your girlfriend when you did E, because I was this close to asking her to marry me. This close dude." Maxwell jokes.

The waitress seats us and gets our drinks. Theo orders drinks for his sisters and let's the waitress know that they will be here shortly.

"I'm sweating. It's hot in here. Isn't it hot in here?" I wipe my hands on my thighs feeling a bit overwhelmed.

"Nope." Gage chuckles. "You'll be fine, they'll either like you or hate your guts and try to break you and their brother up with any chance they get."

Maxwell nods in agreement. "Speaking of the demons."

Theo grabs my hand and kisses the back of it. "Stop love, it'll be fine. They'll love you."

"BUB!" The girls say in unison as they hug him.

He returns the hug and gives them both kisses on their heads. They take their seats. One across from me and one across from Theo.

"Hi!" I say and in internally cringe at how high pitched it comes out.

They both smile.

"Boys." One states and they both glare.

"This is Delphine." He nods to the one in front of him. "And that's Violette. This is Melody, my girlfriend."

"You said she wasn't your girlfriend." Delphine adds.

I tense up. Was he embarrassed of me? Stop overthinking it, he just asked me to be his girlfriend today.

"She wasn't at the moment, but she is now."

"Delph ,V, how about we put the past behind us and move forward. A clean slate. It's been years. I've matured. I'm a new man." Max holds his hand out for them to shake it. "Truce?"

They roll their eyes and shake his hand.

The waitress comes back and we all order. The rest of the night continues mostly with them all catching up. I chimed in a few conversations but I wanted to give them their family time.

"How much longer are you here? See Mama atleast, she misses you so much." Violette pleads.

"I'll think about it." He says as he pays and we head out.

"It was nice meeting you guys." I smile.

"Same to you. Make sure our brother treats you right!" Delphine smiles back before hugging Theo bye.

They get in their vehicle and leave as do we.

"That went well, right?" I look up to Theo as he interlocks his fingers with me.

He smiles. "Yeah it did."

When we get back to the house, Gage grabs the alcohol. "We only have two more night here before  we go back to our shitty lives. Let's drink!"

Max cheers to that and takes off his dress shirt and tosses it. "Hell yea."

Theo gets on his phone as I head to the room. I change into an oversized t shirt and shorts. Before I can walk out Theo walks in. He smiles and wraps his hand around my waist and kisses my neck.

He picks me up with ease and I wrap my legs around him. "Thank you, love. I appreciate you for meeting my sisters today. They are a big part of my life and so are you now." He kisses me. "Now let's go drink."

He puts me down and his phone dings once more. I just assume it's his sisters possibly setting up another gathering.

I walk out and Max gives me a shot. They had the music playing and they were dancing. Gage grabs my hands and dances with me to the next song as Max downs some more shots.

I really don't wanna go home.

"Before you got transferred to Crasmere County where did you live?" I ask as I lay on the couch with my head on Theo's lap.

"Willowbrook, it's about four hours away." He begins to play with my hair.

"Are you gonna leave me soon?" I hiccup.

"Let's talk about something else." He maintains eye contact.

I stare up at him and notice his pupils grow. It makes me smile. "You really like me huh?"

This alcohol was giving me way too much courage.

He smirks and leans down to give me a kiss. "What have I gotten into?"

"Why do you call me love?" I ask as I tuck my cold hands under his shirt for warmth. "It feels so... I don't know."

"You're my Venus, my planet of love."

I didn't even notice the tears falling down my face.

"What's wrong? Did I say something wrong?" His eyes grow.

"I'm really sensitive when I'm drunk." I sniffle. "You're the sweetest man ever."

Max walks up to me. "Mel it's our song!" He pulls me off of Theo as Wobble baby comes on by V.I.C.

I wipe my few tears as I laugh at his excitement. Gage joins us in the middle of the room and I wobble my little heart out.
