Did you miss me? I've been gone for a while. University has been really, really tough.

Anyways, I hope that you would enjoy my small gift for Christmas — a Christmas Special update for Haewon Imagines.

With this weather and all the decorations that have been set up along the streets and the establishments in Seoul, Christmas is felt around.

You watch people walk into stores and go out with paper bags, getting gifts for their loved ones — the spirit of Christmas is undeniably there.

You miss the time that you shop for gifts with your best friend, Haewon, whenever Christmas is fast approaching. You would ask for her thoughts about the gift that you've chosen for your parents and your siblings as she seemed to know them a lot. Your family adores and loves her a lot.

Things are different now that Haewon is an idol. Her schedule is always packed. You don't hold anything against your best friend for that. As a matter of fact, you are so happy that she gets to achieve her dream and do a job in which she can do something that is passionate about, and that is performing.

Besides, Haewon does not forget to spend time with you whenever she has the chance to do so — just like last Christmas. You just happen to miss those times.

And oh, it seems like your best friend couldn't wait to bond with you any longer this year, she invited you to their Christmas special concert. She told you that she would also love to return home to Incheon together with you afterwards. After all, it would officially be her break right after this schedule.

You didn't mind it as you also planned to return to Incheon for Christmas.

Right now, you're actually on your way to the venue of their concert.

When you got there, most of the attendees were already in the venue. As you handed over the ticket to the personnel and had it scanned, a staff member who seemed to have rushed her way towards you approached you breathlessly.

"Miss Y/N, am I right?"

You slowly nodded in response. She just smiled at you and guided you to the standing pit.

You were confused as to why they were asking the NSWERs in the standing pit to make way for you. You tried to tell the staff that there is no need for you to be in the front. Though she said something in response, you failed to catch it. You tried to ask her to repeat what she said but she just smiled after placing you on the front. She left quickly after.

It didn't take long for the lights to dim and the VCR to start playing. Cheers filled the stadium, especially as the girls showed up to the stage. You noticed that Haewon seemed to look for someone across the crowd, and when she found you — she smiled brightly. You returned the smile and cheered loudly for your best friend.

You watched the girls in awe. This wasn't the first time for you to watch NMIXX perform, but you couldn't help but be in awe every single time that you do so. Your eyes couldn't help to be fixed on your best friend, Haewon, this was the first that you've seen her in person in her new haircut. To say that she is stunning is understatement, it suits her so much. Haewon has always been good-looking, but she hits differently with this one. It caught you off guard.

You hate to admit it, but you felt some butterflies in your stomach when she smiled at you earlier. You didn't like to feel that way towards your best friend.

This wasn't the first time that you felt this with Haewon. However, you always push it in the back of your mind.

And that's exactly what you're doing right now as well.

As cliché as it sounds, time flies fast whenever you're happy. The girls are almost through the setlist. They had talks in between a few songs. Haewon would subtly approach you in most of them. Right now, it seems that they're having an outfit change as a VCR is being played on the screen.

You couldn't help but to giggle with some of the hilarious moments of the members during their Secret Santa game being shown on the screen. It ended with the girls greeting Merry Christmas. Then, the intro of 'Sleigh Ride' by the Ronettes started to fill the stadium. The crowd started to cheer as the girls came back on the stage, dressed in Christmas-inspired outfits.

It was the first song of their encore, and the girls were walking around the stage and interacting with NSWERs. You took notice of Haewon being timid compared to the usual. Then, towards the end of the song as she stood on the straight line in the center of the main stage — she was evidently nervous.

You took notice of the girls looking towards Haewon. Haewon took a couple of deep breaths before leveling her mic to her lips.

"NSWER," She called out. In which the crowd responded with a loud cheer for her. "We've just performed Sleigh Ride — did you guys like it?"

The crowd responded with a loud yes which made all the girls smile widely.

"I'm glad to know that." Haewon responded and started to walk across the stage. "I've personally chosen it, but I would like to let you know that there's more to it — like why I've chosen it."

The crowd gasped and became silent. NSWERs were evidently interested, anticipating what Haewon was going to say.

"I've been wishing for a few Christmases already if I could have this someone together with me as I take on the road ahead of me. Oh, well, I mean, I have her but not to the extent that I want her to be." Haewon continued, locking eyes with you. Your heart skipped a beat as you saw Haewon looking at you seemingly with heart eyes. "Oh, I wish that I could share this sleigh ride with you, Y/N. I wish that I can embark on this new journey with you, traveling through the rest of the seasons that I would have to go through together with you. Not only as your best friend, but as your girl... your woman."

Haewon stood before you while being on the stage. She lowered herself, staying in a somewhat deep squat position and still looking at you adoringly.
