it's christmas eveeeeeee

i get to open presents tonight 🤭

Once again, I woke up in Billie's arms. My girlfriend's arms.

When I opened my eyes, her perfect, sleeping face was right in front of mine. Our arms were around each other and our legs tangled together. I would've been content to watch Billie sleep for an eternity, but unfortunately for me, she woke just a couple of minutes after me.

Billie smiled when she saw me already awake and looking at her. She yawned hugely, then pecked my lips before stretching and sitting up. I whined quietly in protest as cold air rushed into the empty spaces.

"Oh, shit, it's already Christmas Eve," Billie mumbled, sounding surprised. I laughed lightly.

"You just realized that?" I said through my laughs.

Billie scratched her head, looking worried. "I haven't got presents for any of my family yet," She admitted.

I snorted. "Billie!" I laughed, sitting up. "When were you expecting to get them?"

She shrugged sheepishly. "I dunno, I've been thinking I still had a week... for a week," She blushed a little, resting her chin on my shoulder.

I sighed and shook my head in disbelief. "You're just like my dad. We used to always open presents Christmas Eve evening, and he would book it to the mall at 4pm and frantically find all the presents my mom had told him to buy a month ago," I chuckled at the memory.(a/n: true story about my dad, i'm certain it will be happening again this year)

Billie smiled and looked up, placing a few kisses to my jawline. I shuddered a little at the pleasurable feeling, then blushed in embarrassment. Thankfully, Billie didn't comment on it.

"Guess that's what I'll be doing too. Good thing I've got my girlfriend to keep me company," She cheesed, stretching up to peck my lips again.

I leaned away. "I gotta brush my teeth first," I insisted. Billie sighed but relented.

"Have you got all your Christmas shopping done?" Billie asked, a note of hope in her tone. Clearly, she was hoping I still had some things to get.

"You're kind of the only person I had to shop for," I said lightly, recognizing that she probably hadn't realized exactly what she had said.

"Oh... right..." Billie trailed off, but I could hear the apology in her silence. "Um, well, could you help me find presents for my family? And then we can say it's from us both, since you'll be spending Christmas with my family," She added.

I raised my eyebrows at her. "I am?" I asked in a disbelieving tone, not remembering having ever said anything of the sort.

"Of course. We talked about this, like, two weeks ago. Remember?" She said in a 'duh' tone.

I rolled my eyes. "I don't remember saying I was in. Christmas is for family, Billie. It's really not right of me to intrude on your holiday," I insisted.

"But you're part of the family now. Are you forgetting that you're my girlfriend?" She questioned, standing up to find clothes as she spoke.

I watched her from the bed, not wanting to get up just yet. "But it's only been four days, Billie. And we've only known each other since the beginning of the month," I stressed.

Billie sighed, bending over a bit and grabbing my chin lightly to make me meet her eyes. "Willow, I've already told you- my family doesn't care. I've already told everyone that you're coming and they were all ecstatic. They want you there. I want you there. What were you planning to do tomorrow by yourself?" She questioned, tilting her head.

I swallowed nervously and shrugged, glancing away.

Billie chuckled lightly, her grip on my chin shifting to my cheek. "See? So will you please come celebrate Christmas with my family?"

I offered her a small smile. "Yeah, I will," I mumbled.

Billie scrunched up her nose adorably and kissed me on the cheek. "Good. Now get up so we can go shopping and actually go tomorrow," She laughed, her hands sliding down to grab mine and tug gently.

I pouted, resisting. "But I'm comfyyyyyy. Can't we go later?" I pleaded, looking up at her through my lashes.

Billie shook her head and pulled a bit harder. "We gotta go now so we have as much time as possible to find some good gifts," She insisted.

I still resisted, reluctant to leave the warm bed. "Maybe you should have thought of that before you put it off to the last minute," I teased.

Now Billie's lower lip had jutt out in a pout. "Willowwww," She protested. "Please?"

When I still showed no signs of moving, Billie sighed.

"You can wear one of my hoodies and sweats, just please Willow, I need your expertise," She bargained.

That, I could not say no to. So, I finally slid off of the bed, ignoring Billie's arms outstretched for a hug and walking straight to her closet.
