Moon was beyond furious with Solar Eclipse.
A tiny little demon messenger had been sent to their realm to inform them that Solar had Sun in their custody. Moon was baffled at the thought that someone had actually managed to contain one of the two most powerful gods that existed, but considering Sun's abilities were not good for combat (unless you happened to be a mortal), it was possible in theory. More baffling than the how Solar did it, though, was how he had found the audacity to dare pulling such a move and then taunting Moon with it.
They muttered profanities under their breath, storming their way to one of the exit doors of their realm. The normal music box symphonies that emanated from their carefully learned gait was now They had two options for going into the afterlife; through the reaper entry, or through Security. The reaper entry was easier, yes, without anyone to catch suspicion or deny them the ability to get there, but that was the professional entryway. Moon knew better than to mix up personal and professional business, even in such a grave time.
Ignorance of the rules always led to permanent distrust. Their brother was at no risk of permanent death - not even Solar could do that - so they couldn't violate paths that necessitated a mutual trust of proper use. As much as they wished to storm into Solar's realm in a fit of rage, scythe in hand, they had to be more tactful if they had to go through Security.
They sighed, slowing down, returning to the well practiced motions that made a soft symphony. Delicate chimes, twinkles, and tings now marked their graceful and well rehearsed movements as they opened the door, then stepped outside.
They were placed into Security Puppet's realm.
"Excuse me, Security, I'd like to meet with Solar," Moon said, with much effort put to not sound like they were on the verge of committing murder. For the second time in the past twenty-five years - it was a problem now, it seemed.
"Of course. Solar's expecting you. Starting karaoke night up again?" Security inquired, clasping their hands together.
"I'm afraid I'm already late, so no time for chat, but I'll have to catch up with you later," Moon hurried through the doorway to the reception area. Security said nothing further, seeming unbothered by the hurry. It wasn't the first time the Quartet had rushed to each other's realms - as Security had suggestested, they used to have regular karaoke nights.
The afterlife's reception was barren, not a demon in sight, nor Solar. Moon growled aloud, manifesting a large scythe in their hand. It was beautiful, made of the same 'organic' metal as the Quartet's very own bodies, but enhanced with the sheer energy of Death. Much like Moon's vessel, the scythe was a manifestation of the very concept of Moon's domain. It was the only weapon able to leave permanent, irreparable scars on a god's vessel... plenty of things could harm the vessel of a god, but any damage could theoretically be healed - though, sometimes it was just easier to make a new one.
Unless you were Lunar, the only full-blood god who actually was their vessel, rather than the vessel bein an extension and manifestation of their incorporeal form. The only full-blood god who could, for any amount of time, completely die.
Moon didn't have the time nor energy to think about the mistakes they'd made, rushing through Solar's 'castle' in an attempt to find their brother. They did not care about the discordant notes playing from their body. They did not care who or what saw them like this, they only wanted to get their brother back, and their revenge. What was done is done.
They slammed open the door to Solar's office, in which Solar was sitting with one leg over the other, a glass of wine in hand.
"It took you long enough," he muttered, shaking his head with distaste in his voice. "You know... I wasn't expecting Sunny not to know about your little outing with my beloved sibling. What is wrong with you?"
"WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME!? YOU KIDNAPPED MY BROTHER!" Moon slashed their scythe towards Solar without hesitation. The wine glass in their hand shattered as it droppe to the floor in their haste to move out of the weapon's reach.
"I don't know, Moon. Maybe the fact that you killed MY brother might have something to do with it? Or perhaps the fact that my wife is dead - maybe we could talk about the fact that I deal with the most disgusting humans there are on a day to day basis? It's not like I haven't always been a little twisted in the head, either. There's a whole lot wrong with me. You just crossed a line. You didn't talk to anyone before you murdered Lunar. YOU DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO TELL ANYONE!" Solar manifested four pickaxes, their weapon of choice, weilding one in each hand.
"They were slaughtering innocents! I did what I had to!" Moon growled in response, giving the scythe another swing. Solar got nicked in the shoulder, but took the opportunity to retaliate, hitting the scythe to the side with two of their pickaxes and then quickly lunging towards moon, the other two prepared to strike.
"They needed HELP! Not to be killed! What do you think is going to happen when they come back? THEY CAN'T AND WON'T STAY DEAD FOREVER, MOONDROP! YOU MADE THE PROBLEM WORSE!" Moon kicked Solar in the knee as hard as they could, knocking her back,
"Don't you think I realize that I made a mistake!? There is nothing I wouldn't do to take it all back, Solar! I was panicking! You're not the only one at your breaking point -"
"IF YOU RECOGNIZE YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG, WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT?!"
