IRENE
I stared at the building of CityHall for five minutes before I strode in. The company was a very nice and cool place. Different people bringing complains, the attorneys and the civil servants. I walked over to the second floor where I had my interview yesterday afternoon and fortunately, I identified one of the men standing next to the door.
I greeted both of them and told them I was a rookie there and the other man walked away leaving the two of us at the door. He walked over to my place and placed one of his hands in his pocket. He was a good-looking guy no doubt and even his suits were really cool. "I recognised your face, you came for an interview yesterday afternoon, congratulations." His soft voice spoke.
I smiled brightly in my lady-like manner. "Oh, thank you so much."
"I'm Zaden Hargreaves, and you're..."
"Irene Cyrus."
"Welcome to CityHall, miss Cyrus. Follow me." Zaden said and started walking down the stairs. He has a beautiful smile.
I stared at his back and he looked a bit familiar with the suits, I came to conclusion, I like this Zaden Hargreaves, he's really cool.
We finally arrived at the place I will be working and immediately we arrived, the ladies started looking at Zaden, smiling and whispering things to themselves. Were they crushing on him? I can't tell on my first day.
"Good morning, all. This is, Irene Cyrus and she'll be joining your team. She's new here, please you can show her things she doesn't know." He turned to me. "Miss Cyrus, these are your seniors, please do get along. Enjoy your first day at CityHall." He said and walked away.
He was a very nice guy with a warmth Aura that I can't help but stare at him walking away with a smile on my face. "He's cool." I whispered to myself.
"Would you stand there for ever?!" a voice broke me and I shook.
I looked at my team once again, they were four in number, now five including me. I greeted them once again but no one answered, instead, they look at me with lazy eyes as if I was a weirdo. I sat on the empty desk because it was obviously mine and switched on the system. I kept my files and books on the desk with my bag aside. No work was assigned for me so I had nothing to do.
I got up and walked over to the woman sitting on the biggest desk, she was obviously our group manager. I greeted her and gave her the file I was assigned to give my group manager if I won the interview.
She took the file and checked it, before dropping it on the desk. "Welcome to our team, Irene. Please do your best. We are one of the best team in this company, now that you're here, please help us keep our name." She said with a smile.
I bowed my head slightly and respectfully. "Thank you, ma."
"I'm Miss Collins, those are your seniors, that's Samantha." She pointed at one of the girls with a very long hair. "And that's Rachel, you can ask her anything since your desks are more closer."
"Oh, thank you." I said. Like seriously? Samantha and Rachel in my team? Is this a kdrama or something. My heart went back to one of my favourite korean dramas business proposal.
"Sarah! You didn't introduce me." The man that looked like he was in his late 30s said. Mrs Collins, Sarah also looked like she was in her late 30s so I thought they were similar.
"I don't need to introduce you, you said you were popular." She growled at him which made Samantha and Rachel laugh.
The guy turned to me. "I'm Paul, and I'm very popular here." He boasted.
